Will we make the playoffs?

This article says we have the best chance (40%) out of the 0-2 teams of making the playoffs.

Minnesota -- The Vikings have been shockingly bad, but they're only one game out of the NFC North lead with 14 to play. They have problems galore, but in this lightweight division, they can't possibly bury themselves in September. Playoff chances: 40 percent.

Yes we will.

The record may not be pretty, but if we can win some games heading into the playoffs we will have momentum; unlike the last few years when we fizzled during the middle of the season.

I think we can make it without a doubt! We play in the weakest division in football in the weaker conference in football. We'll catch the pussy cats and the cubbies!!

I'll say it here and now: The Vikings will go 10-6, win the division and (obviously) make the playoffs.

The only reason I would say we can make the playoffs is: defense. We still have a defense which, if they start playing as one unit, can be really good. I mean, look at it: Pat Williams, Kevin Williams, Napoleon Harris, Smoot, Winfield, Sharper, etc., etc. Like an All-Pro squad. And unlike some teams (Carolina), we don't have injuries already on defense. I liked the aggressiveness in week 1 of our D !!!

The offense of course has to "settle down". I think Culpepper has to relearn the coverages with a certain nr. 84 gone to "Tokeland". He needs to settle down and run the ball more. The receivers need to step up more and block and cut their routes short when their QB is in trouble. Bennett has to stop fumbling.

Can these things happen ? Hell yes !!

Unless we suddenly pull it together and play football (questionable based on the last two seasons) I think making the playoffs will have a lot to do with how poorly the other teams in our division perform. There will be no wild card teams coming from the NFC North this year. :sad:
