If Mack and Clowney are gone, we are either going with Bortles or Manziel. If Zimmer and Turner are not going QB at 8, I expect Spielman to trade back and hope they can get Bridgewater or the like later in the draft. Bortles has been on our big board since day one, in my opinion, no matter what anyone says.

Sooo:
Teddy Bridgewater hung out over the weekend, then further he stayed in Minneapolis a few extra days;
Johnny Manziel has worked out for us, interviewed, but we think his pro day was a "side-show";
Now we won't even look into a deeper interview or workout on Blake Bortles.
Seems to me we want everyone's head's to be spinning when it comes to who we are taking... but all the subterfuge seems to revolve around QBs. Does that mean we aren't even taking a QB at 8? Who knows?
And THAT is exactly what Spielman and co want.Men are moved by two levers only: fear and self interest.

Vikings Won’t Visit Bortles
My opinion on this.... The vikings know exactly what they are getting out of bortles. A second visit is unnecessary whereas players like bridgewater and manziel have questions surrounding them. Unfortunately, I think bortles is very high on our board (don't like him personally)... So I expect us to grab him if he's there at 8

The Browns certainly are doing the same thing. They are talking out of both sides of their mouths constantly. The Raiders ... well they know they don't have to talk to create subterfuge, because they like taking the 40th BPA at No. 5 on a regular basis.
I know you hate Spielman ... but I don't see anyone calling him a draft guru ... just simply stating he has done a good job of disguising what the Vikings intentions are come draft time ... and that is a fact. Nobody seems to have a grasp on what they will do at all. That is a good thing. Unless of course Spielman has no idea as well — which is entirely possible.

I certainly was not calling Spielman a guru. I just wanted to spell out all the signals we have been sending out, and how they tell us everything, so therefore nothing.
Manziel was all Zimmer, and you could argue so was Bridgewater and Bortles, so this might not even be Spielman trying to fool everyone.Men are moved by two levers only: fear and self interest.
