AP and BF

Not just BF!

Dallas is a popular team.
McNabb is a popular player.

Don't compare to AP then add BF.

Dallas @ Tampa Bay
Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa

Philadelphia @ Carolina
Dick Stockton, Charles Davis

Minnesota @ Cleveland
Thom Brennaman, Brian Billick

Detroit @ New Orleans
Chris Myers, Trent Green

I have to disagree.
With just Adrian, this game was NOT going to most of the country.
The Dallas game was.
With Favre, FOX has expanded the coverage.

That is why I said later in that same post that AP with the addition of BF, the Dallas and McNabb games do not compare.
That list of teams and game are pretty lack luster.
AP and BF stand out.

Hmmm.
The map comes up but there are no colors on it...not working.

With Peterson, the Vikings are a draw, but they are not against the Browns.

With Favre, and his first game with the Vikings playing along side Peterson, it is a big draw.

I think this game would still be huge without AP.
Anytime Brett Favre is returning after retiring, it is a huge deal.
He could play for the Lions and it would still draw a huge amount of viewers.

Not enough caffeine!

But this is a more succinct and coherent reply.

The title of this thread should read Favre pushes or tips the TV scale toward the vikings.

AP and BF are the draw together.
I agree that BF puts the team over the top.
He has been in the media more often and forced down everyone's throats around the country.

I was also saying the the other games don't have anything going for them.
AP is the number one rusher in the NFL.
He is in a ton of commercials.

I have talked to a couple people out here in Mass that have said they had a difficult time last xmas trying to find AP jerseys for their kids.
I know that No.4 is selling a ton of Viking jerseys now also.
But I am just saying even without BF, AP is a draw.

There are a couple Dallas Bars in the metroplex worth checking out. Some are worth the drive. Most aren't.

They should move here.
AD jerseys everywhere.
But I digress.

You are ignoring that FOX expanded the original coverage once Favre signed.
AP = 10% coverage, AP + Favre = 40%.

It's actually Childress and the KAO that are responsible.

But if we didn't have AD they wouldn't have expanded the coverage. If Favre signed with the bucs they wouldn't have gotten as much attention because they don't have our running game and defense.
