Griffin is playing much better the last three weeks.

Lots of great individual and team play this game.
It shows in the final score !
But my hat goes off to the DLINE, they played with great intensity tonight.......

I think that hit on Gus and the no call, pissed off everyone, who bleeds purple.
Should be seeing a nice fat fine on that one, for sure... ;)

griffin played awesome, they picked on winfield this game a lot i thought in the beginning, after hesters td, there wasnt going to be none of that, winfield made awesome adjustment and cut off that play the next time they tried it. chicago is bunk, they dropped some passes but a lot of em were off target because of the pressure from our front four, in particular allen. man was it nice to see frerotte finally burn the defense bad when they stack the front. and kudos to the Oline after the first couple series, i noticed a big difference in protection after those awful 3 and outs. yeah yeah, u go childress...show us what u can do lol gg. thank god we dont have lovie smith....what a marooon.

I hope he keeps it up, he is becoming a good player.

I have never seen AD play with so much heart before. He just refused to go down and it was awesome to see how all the Bears defensive players got owned one by one in their attempt to tackle AD. I think that the run in the first half was his best. It wasn't one of his longest, prolly 15 yards or something, but he broke like 7 tackles on that run, and it set the mood of the game.

I'm super happy of how all the players played tonight!

My vote went to Allen. What an animal!

peterson is really taking these rivalries seriously. and that is freaking awesome!

there was a hit on briggs (who sucks cause i saw him trying to kick peterson when he went by) that was just crazy.

i noticed a couple times this year and at the end of the 59yder he didnt out run the defender who seemed to be closing in on him but instead waits to hit him as if he wants to stiffarm em or hit em and launch himself maybe? but i thought maybe he should have just out ran him, not sure if he could make it but it would a been close. just an observation, you really cant complain about it, just wondering if he thinks that he cant make it and tries to do that to maybe break a tackle.

you really cant miss a play when petersons back there :)

I debated hard between Allen and Peterson.

I gave it to Peterson, eventually.
Madden said it during the game (who'd a thought..
he DIDN'T get on my nerves this time!), how does a guy get his jersey so dirty/dinged by playing in an INDOOR stadium?
Good question...
I've always thought this.
Just goes to show the grit and heart AP plays with.

I'll take AP over any other RB in the NFL today..
Possibly in the past too.

just a shout out to our special teams!

abdullah seemed to always get there (no tackles, but he was around the ball and made the replays :)), kluwe can punt the hell outta that ball.

one bad play with the sliding in the endzone when not at all neccesary (forget who it was, no biggie)

no fumbles, no tds allowed. keep it up!

edit: abdullah leads the team in special teams tackles!

Allen.
He got three sacks and played with intensity and heart.
He played a huge role in the success our defense had.

I typically like to give the game ball to a single player (with the exception of last week, when I awarded my vote to the Jaguars because of TRULY exceptional circumstances).
Allen was the most notable of our big-time defensive performers, and his play was emblematic of the play of our entire defense tonight.
That's why I'm giving it to him.

Can't believe you don't have Ced Griffin listed.
He was fabulous tonight.

I'm on a high - just got home.
Gotta go to work in 6 1/2 hours!

My vote goes to Berrian.......
Yes, the defensive stop made the 99 yarder possible.....but that single play turned the momentum of this game!
It was hard not to have a Williamson flashback while the ball was in the air..... but once he caught it, he was gone!
(plus he graduated from my Central California Highschool so he gets extra points)

Griffin was amazing tonight, best i've seen him.
Only gave up one catch for short yardage.
He also made a sick tackle against Hester on that reverse.

Allen was an animal and got my vote.

I had to go D. That 4 and out at the one? 3 picks? 225 or so total yards for the Bears? They ALL played like it was the end of the world. AD too!

he's playing like he knows his job may be on the line next year.
Great job by him though, i commented on that earlier in the yell,
I saw him break up a pass or two, make some nice stop, and when he did let up a pass, he was right there to make the tackle.
good job.

Our DLine did great, pressure in Ortons face all day, 3 sacks by Allen, great job.

Linebackers played well, Leber, hang on to that ball buddy, we got lucky.

Secondary did outstanding.
except for that one td to hester, i didn't see any real fuckups.

OLine did good, not sensational, but good.
provided good pressure, opened up SOME (not many) holes, but did it when it mattered on the qb sneak.

AD was marginal, but still cranked out 130 yards.
He wasn't all that impressive, but its the little gains that matter.
I absolutely loved that 10 yard run where he was stuffed, and dragged about 9 defenders with him to the first down.
I wonder who pissed him off?

Gus played well, made some good throws, i don't recall him being off.
That int wasn't all bad, just get the ball a little higher and it would have been fine.

CT did awesome when the time came

recievers did well, with Berrian making the huge play.
great job

Overall it was a great team effort, but i have to give props to the defense for doing their job and keeping the bears from within 20 points of what our offense could put up.
Sapps penalty set us up for the gamechanging play.

When Gus got nailed (late) and was lying on the ground I looked at wifey and said "Don't worry--he'll bounce right back up."
Sure enough he did--just like he always does.
Look, JA is supposed to have three sack games.
That performance last night
was just another night for AD.
Gus is NOT supposed to connect on 99 yd. TD passes.
Gus is "tough as nails" and is starting to really gel with receivers.
He gets my "game ball" and I really like our chances.
Go Vikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont get me wrong frerotte made some big plays, especially the drive before the half, but those couple of fade passes before the hit were terrible. maybe that hit loosened him up a little lol. he wasnt great, but good enough to win.

and how about pat williams for a game ball? hes a beast.

too many players on their A game last night, team win for me.

6 1/2 hours!
Don't sweat it. You don't work that hard anyway!
:)

Cedric always has good games when the defense pressures the QB. But he was great last night.
Certainly can't say the same for Sharper. He got a pick, but he was beat on the play. Had the pass been completed to the receiver it would have been a Bears TD.

Great win. Wish I could have been there. The dome was rockin'.

yup, front 4 all the way.
they dictated the whole game.
from the pressure from the outset, to the goaline stand, then the pressure that lead to quick bad throws.
the secondary played well, so did the special teams, and peterson is a beast, but if the front 4 didn't dominate that game is probably a whole lot different.

Gotta give it to the team.

Love all the love for Griff, but how about Shanc, he not only made a nice catch but he was also the bait that Tillman (and two other defenders) bit on allowing BB to rome free for the deep one.

I couldn't get to sleep until sometime after 01:30ish AM.

What a game......

thats lame marr, you're not the head coach, just pick somebody.
no need to be pc, you wont hurt anyones feelings here.
and if i was gonna give credit to anyone on BB's td i would give it to that corner who played it terribly.
we all know if we saw griff play it that way we'd be destroying him and not talking about greg olsen drawing him off his responsibility.
but i will show some love to ferrotte, cuz though that throw is easy as hell, sometimes they get too excited and overthrow or underthrow.
not to mention the o-lines protection on the td, and of course the d-line for making the goaline stand that put us in a position to do so.
damn marr, you're right

Your just cracking me up today......

First, I never worry about being PC.
I find it kindof fun to add a different perspective on things at times.....

Second, You gotta admit, this is the first time we really can say we saw this team in all its glory (or the glory we have been sold at least).
Gotta give it to the whole team IMHO.

Except for Sapp's stupidity, which didn't cost the Vikes and the redeeming INT, EVERYONE played a good game.

Defense
DLine was great at rushing the passer and stopping the run when it counted.
LB's stopped Olsen and Leber got the first INT (fumble aside)
Secondary played great, Orton had few options.

The only play on defense that sucked was the Hester TD, and that was a group muff, Winfield, Sharper, Greenway.

Offense
QB: Gus played a good game.
OL best game they played all year, Gus had time.
RB's AD had a brusing game.
Bears had a mission to shut down AD and they failed.
CT had a great game. 4.6 yards a carry and 4 receptions
TE's Shiancoe (not calling him Shank anymore), Klieny, and Dugan all got involved
WR's BB was the man.

ST's
Longwell did well on kickoffs and 2 for 2 on FG's
Kluwe showed he could keep the ball away from Hester or make him fair catch.
Return team: Reynuad busted one, I think the teams longest.
No muffs, positive yardage
Coverage team: Solid performance and vast improvement over last Bears game.

Coaching
I think the play calling was good.

Good job picking out Shank as the bait.
The one thing I haven't heard from anyone is how great of a playcall that was.
Sorry if I missed someone saying that but I am pointing out Childress here.

I give the game ball to the defensive front 4 and subs.
They pressured that ragdoll Orton all day and they looked great as a unit.
