Not sure if anyone else took pictures - not a huge crowd at the tailgate this week - but I thought I'd post my pics anyway...

The morning started off, oh let's say, INTERESTINGLY. I got there about 6:30 to a few security guards milling around along with some obviously upset tailgaters from another group. Neumdog could give you the real lowdown, but let's just say that this group of upset tailgaters were forced from their spots by none other than our own republican Senator, Norm Coleman. Seems he wanted the spots for himself, to hell with the people that had gotten there around 6:00 in the morning to get the prime spots they wanted. What happened in the end was that these tailgaters were decent enough to let Norm have his way (with a little compensation for their spots supposedly forthcoming - what they paid for the spots for one game, of course - no more, no less). Anyway, Norm got his spots, and of course didn't show up until after 10:00 to do some glad-handing and picture taking. But enough about that - on to the pictures!

Norms spot (which I IN NO WAY AM SAYING I AM ENDORSING NORM COLEMAN, OR ANY PARTY FOR THAT MATTER - just took the picture)

I would put most of the blame on the parking lot company Impark, and not Senator Coleman.
It's fine if they would have had the spots reserved and blocked off before anybody got there and set up all their stuff, but they chose to make the people move after they already were set up and having a good time.
The lot manager (some young looking kid with no backbone) decided to go get a Minneapolis police officer before he would even explain to the people why they had to move.

For the amount of money we all have paid to be able to tailgate each week, Impark certainly treats people like shit. Granted, they are going to give the people who had to move a refund for the price of one day of parking, but it's the principle of the thing.
Every week it's one thing or another.
"You can't park here, or you can't park there" is what we always hear from them, and it seems like the people who choose to get there the earliest always are the ones being punished.

Luckily, our PPO spots were set up right next to the spots they decided to grab for Senator Coleman, so we didn't have to move, but I stood by our fellow Vikings tailgaters.

Well, next week, hopefully things will be better with the tailgate situation.
We won't have to worry about Senators, just jackass Packer fans!
;D

Impark has a history of treating its customers poorly. We probably need to make a little noise to the front office to make them aware of it.

Next week an observer from Nebraska will be on the scene to bear witness to these transgressions. Probably not before 10 am though.

See you then.

Looks more to me like an endorsement pic of Zeus & Shock with their candidate "Coleman".

Good to see Coleman has a little Viking apparel, I didn't see any of his volunteers wearing anything vikings related. They seemed very out of place and they constantly surrounded Coleman most of the time, not much interest from the real tailgaters in discussing politics with Norm. I do wonder how Norm was able to reserve the best spaces, must have some good connections.

Neum, Shock, me, Sno, Singer, VQ, BLV, Mars and his bro, Garland and Wife, PurplePower, Bloody, JMcD, their 2 friends, Neum's dad and a few others.
