View Full Version : Do the current Vikings mirror MN ?

I heard a guy on ESPN saying how certain NFL teams "mirror" or reflect their state or city or region:

- Dallas is flashy and showy, reflecting the Dallas mentality.

- New England is "cerebral", reflecting the region that has the most universities in the country (Boston, etc.).

One that I came up with: because bureaucrats like to overcomplicate things and add complexity to life, the team in Washington D.C. is all about complexity (700 page playbook mirroring the tax code that is overdone, etc.).

- Pittsburgh: "meat and potatoes", smash-mouth, physical, no B.S., like the people there, etc.

etc.

I was just wondering, how the Vikings reflect MN, or do they...

I suppose you could work something up about the “Land of 10,000 Taxes” and reflect that there is a lot of promise with little delivery.

OR

You could work on the “Land of 10,000 (Frozen) Lakes” and point out that the purple color blends so well with the frost bite while the team is (ice) fishing for a win.

OR

You could point out that they are honest, forthright, persistent, never taking their eyes off the goals, fighting through adversity supporting one another and standing shoulder to shoulder facing all who would criticize or belittle….just like the wonderful people of Minnesota.

I used to love some lutefisk as a kid.
Then, I found out what it was.

Still big on pickled herring.

I never pay taxes when I buy clothes there. I kinda like it coming up from WI and doing my shopping.

Our offense sometimes reminds me of a Coen Brothers movie...

The Vikings have one of the most talented teams in the league but are lacking competent leadership.

Does that mean that Minnesota has the best citizens in the nation but are lacking competent leadership?

Detroit definitely fits this category

Kilpatrick and Millen are both out of work
