Sorry, KWill.
I love ya, but the officiating crew gets the kudos for this one.

Kevin. Did he really have 4 sacks? Jesus...

HEY
10-12-2008, 04:14 PM
The MVP of week 6 was without doupt Kevin Williams. He had an amazing 4 sacks and 8 tackles on 8 attempts, plus many of them were tackles for loss. If you look at the numbers. Kevin was on another level than the other guys.

What are you talking about? The refs were awful today. They might have been the reason the Lions lost.

Since I ultimately would rather focus on the team I give the game ball to Bernard Berrian and honorable mention to whoever threw the great block that sprung him.

PurplePeopleEaters
10-12-2008, 04:29 PM
The block that sprung Berrian was by Chester Taylor. I tivo'd it back to see who it was because it was so good. We need more of that.

Also, mad props to Berrian. 2nd straight 100 yard week. I know the 87 yard TD was most of those yards but he's definitely been playing well. Without him we REALLY would have been toast this week.

My game ball goes to whoever that was that laid the fuck out of the lion who was chasing Berrian during that TD catch and run.
Can someone tell me who that was.
There is a video on nfl.com but im to lazy to put a link up.
Whoever it was though, rolled that lion up and smoked em.

I'll give it to the ballboy.
There wasn't a single play in the game that was held up due to lack of having a ball.

Tougher call this week as no one is clearly ahead of the rest of the game, but i went with Kevin. He was beastin up all day on the line

Easily the refs, but Berrian was a distant second.

My vote go's to the refs.

Chillys pay check
300,000 -200,000 for refs' "protection" on chilly. Chilly gets a win and walks away with a cool 100,000 dollars.

One again I've got to say that it's about time some calls went our way...see last season.

KWill had an unbelievable game and BB's over 100 yds for the second week in a row.

We got the W...bring on the Bears.

Kevin Williams baby! He did all kinds of work today for us!

thats tough, kwill was awesome, as was most of the defense.
but didnt you kinda get the feeling taht if berrian didnt bust off that long play all of that defensive play would have been for not.
i mean up until that play we were going 3 and out and time was running out.
that play may have single handedly save the game today.
but at worse for kwill, i think we should have the defensive player of the week for the 2nd week in a row.
so he should still get some accolades, gameball or not.

This is a toughy, but I have to go with Berrian. That play was huge. The juke he made was huge ... and breaking away for a monster touchdown was huge.
K-Will was great of course, but I lean toward Berrian. That was the turning point in the game. Of course should have ignited us and led to a much bigger win, but still the turning point none-the-less.

When your QB can only get you into the Redzone once in almost 3 quarters of play, no game ball is warranted.

It's gotta go to the defense, they came to play and held the Lions offense in check all day, despite the offense putting the defense on the field every 3rd play.

I think the game ball should go to Childress if for no other reason than to stop people from saying he has no balls.

Kevin Williams, he put the Team on his back yesterday.
I was wondering which veteran leader would do it...he did, time after time.
Some others, like Berrian and Leber made some good plays, but Kevin Williams showed why he is an All-Pro.

Tough call........

It would be easy to say one of the following:

a. BB.
Nice day with some key catches.
b. Gus.
Nice day with some very nice throws.
c. K-will.
That man came to play today but he had help from the rest of the D

Nope, my nomination would be Herron.
He started out dinged, got re-injured, strapped it back on and came out again, and got re-injured again.

Any man that plays that hard for his team (sure the hell wasn't for the boo'ing fans) deserves any accolade that is given for that tough win.

Getting injured doesn't get you a game ball.

But the gameball goes to Kevin Williams.
He probably won't have a day like that again and he was that extra push that won us the game.
4 sacks, that's just silly.
I'm guessing with 6 total sacks and 10 games to go he might have a chance to have his best year sack wise of his career.
All Pro Kevin Williams sounds pretty good.

Hey my friend.
Long time no discussssssions..... ;D

Of course getting hurt doesn't get you a game ball, but playing through it when your needed does, at least in my view.

I noticed that some people said that Gus did a good job in this game. That's funny! Cause during the game in the "Berserker Yell", many people said that Childress should bench Gus.

Personally, I thought he performed okay.

well mar, theres a little me involved in getting back on to the field too.
i mean this is his big chance, without other injuries he'd never see the field so i'm sure hes not gonna just say ouch, and take his seat on the bench.
even so i still appreciate his effort.
not enough to be giving him a gameball though.

I think Childress should get the game ball. He deserves it. We all love him, and he deserves it every week.
;D Obviously, I am joking. K-Will, hands down. He had 4 sacks, and 8 total tackles. Although, a close second to Bernard Berrian, he's starting to shine...

NDVikingFan66
10-14-2008, 12:53 AM
I went with K-Will cause he kept making play after play.
He had a huge defensive game.

BB was good, and the catch was great, but just not enough else there to sway my vote.

LOL, honestly there could have been, however, in my little world it was more along the lines of a guy playing a position that is short on players already, doing everything he could do to help his team win.
