PP.O name: midgensa
Real name: Geoff
Age: 29
Current City: Alexandria, Va.
Hometowns: St. Louis and Charlottesville, Va.
Occupation: News Editor at the Washington/Baltimore Examiner

1) How did you choose your screen name? Midget Al was my nickname my whole life because I was a midget version of my father, Alan. So people called me Midge. NSA was the dorky name of me and my buddies/brothers "crew"

2) Midgensa, could you tell us a little about where you grew up and about your family?
I lived the first four years of my life in St. Louis, Mo. and still consider that home to an extent. Grew up and went to school in Charlottesville, Va. Have two younger brothers (28 and 27 - yep, we are 27, 28 and 29) and we are all pretty close, even though they live a couple of hours away.
Got married Dec. 16, 2007 and have a daughter who turns 1-year-old on July 18th.

3) What type of student where you in High School? Did you play in any sports or where you involved with any school clubs and such?
I played baseball in high school. I was a very good student ... graduated 21st out of 521, and was kind of a dork.

4) What did you do after High School?
Went to college.

5)What was your first job?
Worked as a cashier at K-Mart

6) When did you decide to be such a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Vikings?
1988. The St. Louis Cardinals moved and I had to pick a new team. Had a good friend of the family (coach of my baseball team) that was a huge Vikings fan ... and the rest is history.

7) Could you tell us one of your favorite memories that has to do with the Vikings or one of its past or present players, coaches, etc.
I vividly remember Randy Moss vs. Atlanta in 2003. I was in the Georgia Dome for that game and early on some jackass talked about how Peerless Price was better than Randy because he had a touchdown. Moss scored two TDs later ... including a phenomenal catch in the corner of the end zone ... and by the end of the rout, the fan was long gone. I also got engaged that day at the stadium to a wonderful woman that I lost to cancer a few months later.

8}How did you come to find PP.O and what attracted you most to the site?
I randomly found it while cruising the net and lurked a while before signing up. I just thought it was easy to navigate and very friendly and easy to get along with people. Of course that was back in the times of only like 700 members or something.

9) What other sports teams do you follow?
I am a San Francisco Giants fan, St. Louis Blues fan and a LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) fan.

10) When you’re not on PPO what could you likely be found doing with your spare time?
Taking care of my daughter or playing with her. I also read ALOT. National Geographic from cover to cover every month and a few newspapers a day.

11) Do you say a special prayer before Vikings games?
Nope

12)Where do you watch Vikings games?
I watch ALL Vikings games at the Tortoise & Hare bar in Alexandria.

13)What is your worst fear?
Hmmm ... don't know really. All changed with a kid. I am terrified of myself or my wife or both dying and not being there for our daughter.

14) What type of hobbies do you enjoy?
I love reading and love driving anywhere. Love seeing historical sights of any sort and get to as many sporting events as possible. I am also a WWE and TNA wrestling addict.

15) What’s your favorite food?
Chocolate ... I know ... that is what women are supposed to say, but I am not going to lie.

16) Where are some of the places you’ve been, and where are some of your favorites.
I have been all over the United States but never outside (other than Canada and Mexico). I LOOOOVE San Antonio, think it is one of the best places in this country. It i a gorgeous city with nice people and a great downtown area. I also really like San Diego, New York and my hometown, St. Louis,

17) What is one thing you've always wanted to do, but haven't done yet in your lifetime?
Visit Europe, and not just one city, but a few of them.

18)If you could live anywhere where would it be?
St. Louis or San Antonio. But anywhere where I could afford a little more for my family than in NoVa. would be nice.

19) Do you believe the Vikings will have their big day someday? When they do win the Super Bowl, what will be the first thing you think you will do?
I do think they will at some point, and I have no clue how I will react. I was close to a world title with the S.F. Giants, and then it slipped away. I don't know ... I would just be at ease I think.

20) Up to this date, what is one of your favorite PPO memories?
I don't know really. I remember recently when Singer used one of my quotes that got a green dot in an attempt to get his own. That was kind of funny.
I also remember regularly shooting the shit with DCPologirl before she disappeared
:(
I just visit the site every single day and I love that I have met a few people in person in the area, and love seeing what all the drama is on a dayy-to-day basis.

Awww, dude!
I was in Ashburn for 5 years - wish I'd been on PPO then so I could have gotten to know more of the NoVA Vikings crew.

I was thinking that too, but, then again, I'm an idiot.

Well I know I missed this by a few days, but thanks to all the respondees. I have really enjoyed these 20 q's with other people and am glad a few of you at least know a little more about me.
And while it was hidden in there ... I am glad Cajun was able to see right through and see the real reason I read National Geographic. The women are hot as hell!
Anyways ... thanks for reading everyone!
