Doesn't sound like I'm getting that field pass now.
The guy has to go to DC now for a biz trip.

I put myself on the maybe list now.
I'm not sure about the CO trip.
There are two weekends I can go, but the 2nd weekend is getting pretty late into the wife's pregnancy and she is nervous about flying that late.

I think I still have the ticket...I found it crumpled up in a pair of jeans...now if I can only remember where I put it.

We don't for preseason.

Yeah... I let in a few strangers by mistake... they were wearing Purple and Gold so I figured what the heck and scanned them into the parking lot... I had no clue they weren't PPo but the purple faithful were made welcome by the group.
Some day I'll have to try to get back to game at the Dome, surely y'all in Minnesota can out do us here on the East Coast?
Right?

LOL, It would have been hard to kick people out when the hotel guy was letting them in as well.
Ned told me he counted 32 at one time, the one guy, (can't remember his name) said he counted (kids and all) and he saw 47.

I didn't count but it was a nice crowd.

Best friend lives there, and our wives are good friends too.
They are having a baby shower, so while the girls do their thing, I'm going to keep my friend some company.
Hopefully they have a bar that shows the Vikes game.

I just found out that my family (me, my wife, and 2 kids) have to be down in the cities this weekend. I was just wondering if Singer or anyone had 4 tickets. My son's 9 and my daughter's 4 years old so the tickets need to be together. I don't care where they're at, but the cheaper the better.
I would love to take the family to a game if at all possible; none of us have ever been to a game but we are really excited about this season and would love to go!

Thanks for any help you guys can give!

There's some nice seats on Vikings.com, directly from season ticket holders, in different price ranges, and they email the tickets.

I am going to have to leave my name on the maybe list for now.
We still have so much work to do in the house.
I really don't want to leave any work for Sunday, but we'll see.
The brother-in-law called and wants to go to this game, so I'll probably end up going.

Well were heading down to the cities this morning. I just wanted to say thanks to singer for skol for all your help! We found 4 tickets together and we are all excited to see the Vikes Live for the first time. I was hoping to meet some of you fellow PPOers. I was just wondering where you guys meet and looking for any advice on parking or anything else you can think of.
Thanks!

There is a parking structure that I park in on the corner of 6th st and 4th ave. It is the cheapest. Should be $10 for preseason. I suggest you park there.

The reason I park in that one is that when I leave their is two ways I can go. I take the 6th st exit and turn left and follow that all the way down to 94. It is the easiest route to get back to WI.

I thought this was an interesting quote from the Kansas City Star. It comes from an article saying that TJ will probably not start in the Pittsburg game:

Jackson has had a solid preseason to date, completing 15-of-22 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns without an interception or sack absorbed. His 127.1 passer rating ranks among preseason NFL leaders.

If you are going the other way, take 7th right and it brings you out to 94W.
Definitely easy out.
The only reason I switched last year was for the proximity to the tailgating lots.

How much are those during the season?

$15.
But if you get there early enough you don't have to pay. ;)
They didn't start charging for tailgating until about 9:00 am, so I would just go in and get a ticket.
Then after the game, the exit gates are just open (because most people paid to get in for tailgating, so I just drive straight out.

I actually asked the parking lot attendant about it once, because I started to feel guilty, and he said that if you time it right, you don't have to pay, and that was a known risk of charging for tailgating parking like that.
But if you didn't do it that way, it would cause HUGE backups after the game as people stopped to pay.

Two things women can't resist.

Because there isn't.

Call the Vikings and ask them.

Well, are those lots full during Saturday?

Probably not.
But, again, you're asking the wrong people.

Well if they are open what is stopping us from tailgating?

The long arm of the law.

LOL.
He's right.
You need a permit in Minneapolis to have open containers in a public venue.
There will be some tailgating, but in private lots.

OK that makes sense but will they give us tickets or just tell us to wrap it up.

Probably just tell you to wrap it up.
But still too much hassle IMHO.
I will be on the plaza before the game, and have a small cooler filled with some jello shots for my pp.o friends or hot chicks, whichever I see first. ;)

Look for me with my 4 year old son.
I will likely be checking up and around the wheel or fun pretty often.

I'm probably going to be very late - I have to wait for The Wife and Little Girl to get home from a birthday party that is in St. Paul from 3:30-5:30.
I'm trying to talk them into leaving at 5, but we'll see how that goes.

I'll look for you all at the same place on the Plaza as the Seahawks game:
North End, near the Wheel o' Fun.

Are you kidding me?! Your killing me here. First you leave early last time now you don't show up until game time. You are worthless for preseason.

We took a long time to learn to deal with the other person's faults.
Most people in our situation would have probably given up in the first year.
Had to ride it out for a couple extra years just to make sure we were capable of getting along.

There is a parking structure that I park in on the corner of 6th st and 4th ave. It is the cheapest. Should be $10 for preseason. I suggest you park there.

I aprk in that one a lot, it is pretty good.
The two on fifth ave inbetween 4th st and Washington are good too, easy access out.

We'll meet you in the plaza!!!

The reason I park in that one is that when I leave their is two ways I can go. I take the 6th st exit and turn left and follow that all the way down to 94. It is the easiest route to get back to WI.

The easiest one for you to park in is the first parking ramp on your left when you take the 5th street exit coming in on 94W.

You enter from the 5th st. side & exit on the 6th st. side. It'll dump you right onto 94E. There is also a lot directly across the street from it that is equally as good.

Those two parking locations are the closest places to park to get to 94E. One turn exiting the lots onto a one-way street & you're on your way.

Thanks for the parking tips! My wife doesn't get done with her class until 5 in Golden valley. So we'll try and get down there asap after that.

I got another question maybe someone could help me out with... Me and my wife both have jerseys already but I don't have anything for the kids to wear. I can't really afford to buy them jerseys yet, but I was hoping find some cheap t-shirts somewhere. If anyone got any ideas I would love to hear them? I'm staying over in Plymouth if that helps?

Thanks again for all your help!

There's a huge tent on the plaza where you can buy any Vikings-related stuff you may want.
As well as vendor booths inside the Dome itself.

Thanks again for all your help!

There's a huge tent on the plaza where you can buy any Vikings-related stuff you may want.
As well as vendor booths inside the Dome itself.

=Z=

Thanks
Are there prices reasonable?
Hate to sound like a cheapskate, but moneys tight.

Jello Shot Update:

2 dozen purple shots in the fridge and chilling. :)

I went with a new recipe, you guys will have to let me know what you think.
Same alcohol content, but I used Black Haus cut with Stoli 80 Vodka instead of Disaronno cut with the Stoli.
In the tests I have done here, the blackberry schnapps was almost unanimously preferred to the amaretto.

Not sure what you just said but I am sure glad you are coming.

Think strong shots that you can't taste the alcohol in...

Thanks for the parking tips! My wife doesn't get done with her class until 5 in Golden valley. So we'll try and get down there asap after that.

I would check out Dome Plus.
They have a great selection, and better prices.
Unfortunately you cannot bring any bags in the Metrodome unless you bought it from the Vikings tent on the plaza.
So it is either run it back to your car or buy it after the game (which wont be possible because of a night game).

You can always order from them online too. http://www.domeplus.com/

No worries, dude.
We all are feeling it these days.

If you're looking for good prices, then don't buy at the Dome.
I'd hit the nearest Target and look there.

There is a target in Plymouth at the intersection of 494 and Rockford Rd.
That would probably be your best shot at getting some $10 shirts.
Hope the info helps!

That's not the topic.

REALLY back to topic:

Game starts at 7, plaza fun starts at 5-ish.
Who's going to be there first to chortle "PPO!
PPO!" to passersby?

I am driving up early morning and should be in MN about 3pm. If anyone is going to be around I would like to hang out. Sno or Bloody are you going to be around?

Yo - wanna cruise by my place when you get into town?
Do you come in on 94 or up 52 from Rochester?

=Z=

94

I'm 80% sure I'm going and 50% sure I'll be there around 5 or earlier.
If Sno is going, maybe we could meet at his place earlier for some recreational activities.

My brother in law and his buddy are coming.
They are both pretty cool/easy to hang with.

That is what I was hinting at. Sno is going. He is sitting we me and Zeus. I have to call him to see how early he will be there or ready.

I'm awake and at home. I'll be here all day, aside from picking up my bike from the shop.

Get at me and we'll make plans for a pregame safety meeting.
