PP.O name:
Formo
Real name:
Jeremy Formo
Age:
26
Current City:
Fridley, MN
Hometown:
All across Minnesota and Superior, WI
Occupation:
Metal Cast factory worker

1) How did you choose your screen name?
It's my last name.
What most people call me.

2) Formo, could you tell us a little about where you grew up and about your family?
I grew up in many suburbs of the Twin Cities..
We moved alot until I was in 7th grade, and finally settle into a house in Superior, WI (just across the border from Duluth).
I finished high school in Superior and continued to live there for 2 or 3 more years afterward.
I am the oldest of 6 kids, 2 boys and 4 girls.
The youngest of my siblings, both sisters, have always been my baby girls, and continue to be so.

3) What type of student where you in High School? Did you play in any sports or where you involved with any school clubs and such?
I was a D-C student, the only time I was better than a C student was the fall semester of my 10th grade year when I made the B Honor Roll.
I played football in the fall and ran track in the spring.
The only reason I ran track was to keep in shape for football.
I was the smallest player on my 9th and 10th grade football teams..
sometimes I often wonder why I still loved to play, considering every day was a fearful day.
Especially since I didn't like to hit or be hit...
Well, I didn't like to be hit.. I didn't mind hitting others.

4) What did you do after High School?
Work, partied, and played bar league football for 2 years.
Since then, I calmed down the partying, and play football only sparingly.

5)What was your first job?
A cook at Shamrock Pizza.
Still is my favorite job.
Had very little responsibility and had many awesome memories working there.

6) When did you decide to be such a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Vikings?
When my family decided to move to Wisconsin.
I didn't know a thing about football, except that Wisconsin and Minnesota football fans hated each other's team.
I didn't own one piece of Viking apparel.
It wasn't until I started going to school, and all the Packer fans made fun of me because I came from Minnesota, when I became a hardcore fan.
By the time I was in 10th grade, I owned many Viking hats and shirts, and was even blessed with a Viking Starter jacket (remember how in style those were?!).
That was around the same time period when the Vikings went 15-1.

7) Could you tell us one of your favorite memories that has to do with the Vikings or one of its past or present players, coaches, etc.
I remember in '98, our VICA organization decided to do a Monday Night Football party with chips, pizza, and pop in the vocational tech shops at school.
That game was the Vikings at Green Bay.
And that was the 15-1 Vikes, putting a HALT to the Pack's home win streak.
Was great as the only Viking fan at that party.

8.) How did you come to find PP.O and what attracted you most to the site?
I don't really remember.
Just kinda stumbled upon many Viking fan sites, just got hooked on PP.O.

9) What other sports teams do you follow?
U of Minnesota Golden Gopher football, basketball, and hockey, Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Twins, Cincinnati Bengals, and Minnesota T-Wolves.

10) When you’re not on PPO what could you likely be found doing with your spare time?
Hmm..
Playing NCAA '08, winning the intarwebs, hanging with my wife, Shanna..
Eating..
Mmmm..
I love to eat.

11) Do you say a special prayer before Vikings games?
Wow.. No I don't.. I've never thought about that.
I'mma start this year.
=D

12)Where do you watch away Vikings games?
Most likely home.
Very rarely do I leave home to see a game (if I leave home, means I'm spending cash..
and that just won't fly with the wife.. lol).

13)What is your worst fear?
Losing someone I love dearly.

14) What type of hobbies do you enjoy?
Anything with sports, X-Box (Madden & NCAA football), video games in general, hanging out with friends, AppleBee's half price apps, movies, little TV (Smallville, Heroes).

15) What’s your favorite food?
Anything really.
Although my favorite genre is Chinese.

16) Where are some of the places you’ve been, and where are some of your favorites.
Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (so far, my favorite...
minus the sunburn), Louisville, KY, Nashville, TN (downtown Nashville is my favorite out of town but in the U.S. place), Kansas City, KS, Des Moines, IA (shocking, wasn't too bad)..
There's a ton of cities I've been to, but those are my more memorable ones.

17) What is one thing you've always wanted to do, but haven't done yet in your lifetime?
Hmmm..
Good question.
Probably go to the Alps and visit the castles there.

18)If you could live anywhere where would it be?
Right here in good ol' Minneapolis, MN.
I'm a thick blooded, true born Minnesotan.
And I love it.
But if it can't be here, then it'd have to be either in Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI (my best friend lives there), or New York City, NY.

19) Do you believe the Vikings will have their big day someday? When they do win the Super Bowl, what will be the first thing you think you will do?
Man.
After the Allen trade, I want to say yes, they will have their big day.
But I honestly don't know.
And when they win the Super Bowl?
Will they even be in Minnesota?
If so, I will rejoice and let the Heavens (and Wisconsin) hear my praise!

20) Up to this date, what is one of your favorite PPO memories?
Man..
Probably when I was new a few years ago..
The Vikings just had hired Chilly and picked up Chester Taylor.
Nothing really stands out, I just remember a slew of new avitars and signatures being make with Chester and Chilly in their old teams uniforms.
It was awesomely weird.
Oh, and right before the Vikings released their new uniforms, I was honored to post some pictures up of a blurred billboard, talking about how it will all be clear on April 27th.
Up until then, many members were speculating what the new uniforms were gonna be like.

Eh, alot of reasons, actually.
I just didn't like who I was becoming when I got all liquored up.
I also got a rude wake up call when I found out that one of my youngest sisters was stealing my parents' booze and bringin' it to school to get drunk.
She was 13 at the time.
Initially I was mad at her, but when I realized that she's just doing the same things I was doing/did, I had to take a nice, long, hard look in the mirror.
That's when I stopped my drinking.
I still love to have fun and party.. but just don't do it with other drinkers very much to avoid me sliding down that slippery slope again.
lol
Sorry about the long winded response..
I know you were just ribbin' me.

Either way, thanks!

It's too tasteless for my liking.
Otherwise, I'm a really well rounded guy when it comes to music.

24.) If you could have 3 wishes granted, what would they be?
Ohhh.. dang..
Hmm..
1) Personal success for each of my siblings.

Back when I was 19, I was homeless due to some circumstances I put myself in.

26.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Another good one.
Superman's powers, including his weaknesses.

27.) If given a complete freedom to start afresh, what profession would you choose and why?
Professional animator/cartoonist.
Because it's the one path my parents/grandparents would be proud of me taking.

28.) What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
Hmm.. I've had my moments.
Probably wrap a VCR around my skull.
Or being the 'test dummy' for my friends to practice wrestling moves on.
Or jumping 50 feet down in a 'snake pit' waterfall in the Nemadji River just outside of Superior.

29.) Which is the most funniest prank played on you or played by you?
Probably one played on me.
A friend of my ex-girlfriend got the password of my e-mail account (got it from my ex) and sent an email out to everyone on my contact list, basically 'coming out of the closet' email.
I was FURIOUS at the time, but looking back now, I laugh.

31.) If you could have dinner with any three people from any time, fictional or non-fictional, who would they be and why?
1) Abraham Lincoln.
My favorite President. 2) Anne Frank.
To see that courage in person.
3) Jesus.
For the obvious reasons.

32.) What's the worst lie you ever told? Did you get caught?
This is a tough one.
I've lied before, as we all have..
But they were all mostly small ones.
I can't think of a big one ATM.

33.) How do you deal with someone you don't like?
I lay the people skills on REAL thick.
Kill 'em with kindness.
And try to empathize with them.

34.) What is your favorite movie and why?
I have a few.
Fireproof, because it rocked my world and changed how I deal with my marriage.
Gladiator, because it's the best movie ever made.
Hands down.

35.) Which is your most cherished childhood memory?
Hanging with my dad, riding down the street in the 'customized' Radio Flier that my dad customized.
He'd pull me down the to the Food-N-Fuel to refill our gallon milk jugs.

Great read, albeit that I'm a tad bit late.
