Jared Allen, fresh off a day of rest, showed up for Friday’s single practice without the beard he had been sporting since reporting to training camp. Allen kept some facial hair but decided the full beard made him too hot....

I bet the reason he shaved it off is because it gave him the creeps when Chiller was sporting the same look.

When JA starts wearing the safari hat, I'll be creeped. But he should keep the Fu...

I'm assuming that means he kept "The Stache".

No more Grizzley Adams?
Bummer.
And if Chilly shaves his goat off, there better be no more molest-asche.
I hate that thing.

No.
It's called the Jared Allen.
Get it right!
=D

(and actually, the 'official' term is the horseshoe.
I actually looked it up.
lol)

Yeah the Fu Manchu Moustache is a full moustache that extends downward past the mouth and on either side of the chin. Often, the ends of the moustache will hang past the jaw line with pointed or tapered ends. It is not to be confused with the more common horseshoe (or "biker") moustache.

Thank you Wiki...

Its funny... I talked with him very briefly up at training camp while he was signing autographs outside Meyers Field House.
I said to him..

Me: "Hey Jared, when do we get to see the new 'stache?"
JA: "Probably after training camp is finished"
Me: "Lookin forward to it, bet it gets hot with the full beard tho".
JA: "Yea, it does"

I'm taking full responsibility for this, I don't care what anyone says! lol

I wear the beard all winter, and it certainly helps on cold, windy lift chairs
:D
But it does get hot and it is kind of fun to do different things with the "face art," in the summer!!

the only one i've got is a side shot of his face, can just tell that his cheeks no longer are covered in hair :P don't get the full affect of the 'stache.
He was elusive that day, would only turn around when I wasn't ready/taking notes

Yeah.
;D Mostly board these days, but did get around 300 days on skis before I switched.
I've got some telemarking gear now too.
Haven't really met a down hill sport I didn't like
;)
Although, crashing in the Rocky mountains has got to be better on snow.

That would be awesome if the entire D-line grew mountain men, Grizzly Adams style beards!
