Within the last year Favre has had his dad and brother in law die and his wife diagnosed with breast cancer. Anyone else think God his tring to give him a hint to go home and take care of things other then football before he loses the ranch?

Well considering his wife has told him to continue playing because it's something that brings the family joy, no. :salute:

Posting topics like this is a very dangerous thing to do.

This has to be one of the most classless posts I have ever seen. Do you think God really cares if Brett Favre plays football or not or that God would inflict such pain on a family because of one of the family members playing football. Who knows, Favre may decide to retire after this season, but I can't believe you would bring that up in this manner. Give me a break!

Personal tragedy aside, Brett will retire when Brett's damn well good and ready to retire. His family supports his choice, his team and fans support his choice, and his dedicated rivals (US) support it as well.

I would much rather beat Green Bay WITH Brrett Favre, then have to listen to them whine for the next 20 years about how, "You wouldn't beat us that bad if we had Favre in there" like they did for 20 years with Starr.
