Here is part one to see how you did last year if you said anything
http://www.purplepride.org/forums/index.php?topic=35960.0

Anyways another one wont hurt for this year. Ill start it off

Vikings MVP:
We will need the running game and if Tjack dont improve, so we will still be a 70:30 running team and we need someone to carry the load

Pick: AP

Best Rookie: Tough one here. We dont have alot of choices to go to, most of them will be backups. T. Johnson will step in great if Shaper gets hurt, think he will do a great job and can win this categorie. But Tjack got injured number of times last year, lets hope he is not a injury prone though.

Pick: JDB

Most Improved Player:
Our offense line know some of them should of been replaced this offseason but our coaching staffs gave them another chance. I think someone will step up and show they deserve the job. But Tjack also need to show he deserves more credit than what people are giving him and that he can run this offense and lead us the SB

Pick: Tjack

Most Dedicated Player: (No pick atm, ill come back to it)

Breakout Vikings of the Year:
There is one person who step their standards high and he think he can beat his rushing record. I think he can if he can stay healthy

Pick: AP

Best Team Player of the Year (who's the most focused on helping the team):

A great leader off and on the field needs to win this one and its no suprise here.

Pick: Another AP

Vikings Most Likely to be Traded After 2008:
We are deep at DE and have two players that have not been that successful at that position that will be a FA in 2010. I think we will try to trade one of them away before contract expire if we can get anything from him.

Pick: E. James

Vikings LVP (Least Valuable Player.. starters)
Tough one. Too early too tell if Tjack wont do good this season. Think WRs will be ok. DL is great but one is unknown and could be the one here. LBers is set, Leber may need to show he can be great. DBs seems OK. Questions at the OL

Pick: Ryan Cook

Most Whiney Spoiled Princess/Player:
No one really in my mind but if I had to choose.. hmm...

Pick: Ill come back

Biggest Boneheaded Vikings:
No one again but I someone has been asking for a new contract I believe so I think thats the only person that can fit here

Pick: Matt Birk

I think J.Allen will make one of the good categories but AP is my choice atm

Breakout and most improved is easy: Herrera. The guy is going to the pro-bowl. Most likely to be traded? McKinnie, hands down.

Vikings MVP:AP No answer needed

Best Rookie: Co rookies Johnson/Booty, neither one will see extensive playing time, although I guess I could see Johnson considering he'll play special teams.

Most Improved Player:Griffon
I think this might be the young CBs breakout year.

Most Dedicated Player: AP

Breakout Vikings of the Year:The Vikings pass defense.
I think ESPN will be drooling over the "surprise" secondary of the Vikings by week 4.

Best Team Player of the Year: T-Jack
He'll just be handing out that rock to the Running Backs so much how can't you be a team player?

Vikings Most Likely to be Traded After 2008:Chester Taylor
One our most valuable trade options and we could get a backup for AP easier than some would think.
Teams want Taylor as a starter though, and I think he should have his shot to be a starter again.

Vikings LVP (Least Valuable Player.. starters) Ryan Cook

Most Whiney Spoiled Princess/Player:Not really any of those guys on the team, but I'll go with Chester Taylor throwing a chair at somebody.

Biggest Boneheaded Vikings:Brad Childress

Vikings MVP: QTJ.
Nothing spectacular (3,500 yds/18 TD's/7 Int's/14 Wins- 5 Losses) but has a decent season, enough to quite most of the haters.

Best Rookie: STJ.
Steps in for Sharper about week 4 and never gives up the spot.
Sharper then gets his lame ass shipped back to GB for a 4 rnd pick in the 2009 Draft.

Most Improved Player: Both Herrera a Cook do such a good job on the right side they share this award.

Most Dedicated Player: QTJ.
Hours and hours of film study are evident as he leads the team to a 14/5 record.

Breakout Vikings of the Year: AD.
Not sure if he didn't break out last year, but I will give it to him again.

Best Team Player of the Year: Gordon.
He will have significant contributions on ST's and in the secondary.

Vikings Most Likely to be Traded After 2008: No one unless there is a clause in McKinnies contract that alleviates the CAP hit.

Vikings LVP (Least Valuable Player.. starters): Big Mac

Most Whiney Spoiled Princess/Player: Toss up between Birk and Sharper as they both realize about the 3rd or 4th week they aren't gonna be Vikings after this year.

Biggest Boneheaded Vikings:
When does a player qualify.
I think this one can already be give to Big Mac.

14-5 works for me, record wise....so long as we go into that final game 13-5!

I was waiting for a couple of yutz's on here who always look hard for errors to jump all over that record.

Vikings MVP Offense:
If TJ can play well enough to stop the box being stacked, there should be some running lanes and that means someone could have a steller season

Pick: AD

Vikings MVP Defense:
I thought Jared Allen... then I thought Allen might get double teamed, so K Williams could have a steller year. Then again their offense may chose to use the RB to chip Kevin... that leaves Pat or Edwards.
So I gave up and decided that it's a team effort, and the opponent is going to have to pick their poison.

Pick: D-line

Best Rookie:
Don't really think any will get significant playing time without injuries and bad play by vet back-ups.
But given chance each has a chance to play.
Pick: T. Johnson, may get more reps with first string behind Sharper.
Although JDB could surprise, if given the chance.

Most Improved Player:
Because the Vikes didn't make a move to find a OT, they must see a real upside that didn't show last year.
Pick: Ryan Cook.

Most Dedicated Player:
From what I hear he has nothing but a MAX gear, work out maniac
Pick: AD

Breakout Vikings of the Year:
This is his year to show that he is the man for the Vikes.
It's his third year, his learning curve SHOULD be near the end.
This may be more a hope then a prediction.

Pick: TJack

Best Team Player of the Year (who's the most focused on helping the team):

I think this is a player that sacrifices personal success for team success.
Thus, I have to go with a stand up guy that gave up his starting position and still works hard for the team and supports his replacement at starter

Pick: Chester Taylor

Vikings Most Likely to be Traded After 2008:
Agree with above
Pick: E. James

Vikings LVP (Least Valuable Player.. starters)
He was a disappointment last year and I think giving him $8 million guarenteed was foolish, for a guy that only started when Shockley was injured.
Pick: V. Shiancoe

Most Whiney Spoiled Princess/Player:
Luckily we don't have one of these.

Biggest Boneheaded Vikings:
Easy choice here... as the moron might not be there on opening day.

Pick: B Mckinnie

How could've I over looked him there.

Not to be a complainer Mar but I figured I'd ask a couple of those "tough" questions.

MVP-Even if T-Jack puts up those stats that doesn't make him the team MVP, in fact if that was our MVP player line things went horrible for the Vikes this year, I'm hard pressed barring injury why AP isn't your MVP

Best Rookie-Uhhhhh I will bet you something that Sharper is our starting safety after week 4, what makes you think the Vikes are going to bench a very successful vet at safety in week 4?

First, even though I kindof put some thought into this post, I very seldom am serious with things like this and record predictions.
I kindof like to go out on a limb/think out of the box when I do these........

Anyway, with that said.......

I picked TJ to piss off the TJ haters and to piss off the AD crotch sniffers.
;D

I picked STJ to piss off the Sharper crotchsniffers.
My guess is that if STJ is starting for Sharp it is because of injury.

Again, kindof a funny post rather than a serious attempt my friend.

Vikings MVP:

I think he will be even more lethal giving the fact that our D will get us off the field often and TJ will have another off season under his belt.

Pick: Adrian Peterson

Best Rookie: I don't think any rookies will see the field that much but Johnson is more likely to see some action and he will be a beast.

Pick: Tyrell Johnson

Most Improved Player:

With an improved pass rush Cedric will shine.

Pick: Cedric Griffin

Most Dedicated Player:

He has something to prove with all the criticism about the alcohol situation.

Pick: Jared Allen

Breakout Vikings of the Year:

He will get more playing time this year. You thought he showed promise last year, just wait!

Pick: Sidney Rice

Best Team Player of the Year (who's the most focused on helping the team):

Nobody wants a Super Bowl win on this team more than him. He has been nothing but humble about sharing time with Peterson.

Pick: Chester Taylor

Vikings Most Likely to be Traded After 2008:

The pick of safety Johnson makes me wonder.

Pick: Darren Sharper

Vikings LVP (Least Valuable Player.. starters)

I know you have faith in him Marrdro but I am not a believer.

Pick: Ryan Cook

Most whiny Spoiled Princess/Player:

He will get a break this season from Childress.

Pick: Bryant McKinnie

Biggest Boneheaded Viking:

I not sure this guy belongs here.

Pick: Darrell Bevel
