1) How did you choose your screen name?
It is my screen name everywhere. Snowboarding is pretty much my favorite activity, so I'd consider myself a sno(w)bum.

2) Sno, could you tell us a little about where you grew up and about your family?
Only if you want to be terrified. I grew up all across the Northern 'burbs of the twin cities. Mainly Roseville and Shoreview. I graduated from Roseville High School. Then I moved to Duluth and did a year at UMD. I then decided I'm a city boy and moved to Mpls.

3) What type of student where you in High School? Did you play in any sports or where you involved with any school clubs and such?
I worked really hard the first 3 yrs of High School so I could slack senior year. And slack I did. My senior year I was skating and smoking more than I was studying (bad role-model...) I played football until I broke my femur and shattered my upper-shin in a car accident in 8th grade. I had a steel rod attached to my femur, and my shin was rebuilt. A few years later, the rod was removed. I didn't have a clean bill of health until the end of my senior year, making continuing organized athletics impossible.

4) What did you do after High School?
Duluth, then Minnapple. I realized I want to open my own restaurant.

5)What was your first job?
I was a rink attendent at the Roseville Arena and OVAL. then I learned to drive the Zamboni... ;)

6) When did you decide to be such a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Vikings?
Genetics decided for me. My family raised me to be a fan of all MN sports teams. Mainly Twins, Vikes, Stars (rip).

7) Could you tell us one of your favorite memories that has to do with the Vikings or one of its past or present players, coaches, etc.
I saw Carl Eller at Aqua nightclub a month or two ago. Had a beer with him for a while, or as long as he could stand me that is.

8}How did you come to find PP.O and what attracted you most to the site?
I googled it. To be honest, I just wanted to talk Purple before the '06 draft.

9) What other sports teams do you follow?
Twins, Wild, Gophers, Wolves (occasionally.)

What can I say? I'm a homer!

10) When you’re not on PPO what could you likely be found doing with your spare time?
In the winter, I love to snowboard. In the summer, you'll find me at the beach, downtown, uptown, or somewhere on my bike.

11) Do you say a special prayer before Vikings games?
I don't pray.

12)Where do you watch away Vikings games?
In my living room. Alone.

13)What is your worst fear?
To die and be forgotten.

14) What type of hobbies do you enjoy?
Boarding, biking, skating.

And I love the ladies.

15) What’s your favorite food?
Italian.

16) Where are some of the places you’ve been, and where are some of your favorites.
I've been to NY, DC, CO, FL, NV, WI, SD, IA, NE, IL.

Chicago and New York are amazing. I could live either place happily. I love the mountains.

But to be honest, Minneapolis is still tops.

17) What is one thing you've always wanted to do, but haven't done yet in your lifetime?
Travel the world.

18)If you could live anywhere where would it be?
Here. But I'd like a place in Keystone and Manhattan, as well.

19) Do you believe the Vikings will have their big day someday? When they do win the Super Bowl, what will be the first thing you think you will do?
I do think they will. When they do, I'm getting a tattoo to commemorate the event.

20) Up to this date, what is one of your favorite PPO memories?
All of the tailgates. This site is full of great people.

If you haven't come out for a game yet, do it in '08.

I'm with you on the snowboarding, that and the ladies are two of the more admirable hobbies a man can have.

I switched from skis to snowboard 8-9 years ago.
Can't get enough of it, even though I only get a couple of trips a year in.
Very addictive.
I'm an old man (compared to you anyways) but I find it much more enjoyable than skiing after you get past the initial learning curve (faceplants and ass mashing).
My wife's good at it so we can terrorize the mountains together. Been to most of the mountains in Denver and Salt Lake area.
Hit Banff area and Whistler numerous times.
NM, Tahoe, Montana, Wyoming and Chile.
Haven't tried out Europe, was actually thinking about flying into Greece and checking out Bulgaria.
Heard they've got a new place with a nice setup at a very good price.

Good luck in the restaurant business.

These threads are the best Jerry, THE BEST!

I would have never guessed you snowboarded ;)
It really is one of the best hobbies around. I have been doing it for 10 years now even though I still suck.... very similar to my golf game... hrmmm.

Anyway, thanks for sharing Sno.

Another good read. It doesn't sound like you have much to say about your family, that's really sad.

How's the restaurant plans coming. If I'm expected to get over there for a game, you must be expected to come up with a business concept and a menu approach soon. :D

Hope the restaurant plans come to fruition one day !

Judging by what I've seen, I don't think you will have anything to fear.
