What is your record at the dome for games you have been to this year?

What is your record at the dome all time?

What was your most memorable game you have ever been to?

1-1 this year

I guess my most memorable would be my first one in 98 watching Moss fly by a Bengal for a TD

2-2 All Time.

1-0 This year.

Since I don't really remember the other games I've been two, they must have pretty boring, but the one game I've been to this year was awesome. 296 yards was definitely worth the trip up to MN for the game.

5-2 all time.

Most memorable game was absolutely AD's 296 against San Diego.

I am 1-1 all time.

Haven't been to any this year.
:(

My most memorable game, and the only one I've been to which they have won, was back in 2000 against the Bills.

Culpepper, Smith, Carter and Moss and co. had an 11 point comeback win in the 4th quarter. It was GREAT!

4-2 This Year in the Dome

14-6 All Time in the Dome

1-0 In Other Stadiums This Year

3-1 In Other Stadiums All Time

Most memorable was the playoff game in Lamblow when we beat the Pukers. One thing a Packer fan can never say is that they beat us in the playoffs!

As far as wins & losses when we've been there or home many times we've been there when they played at home?

I've been to every home game both pre-season & regular season since 2001 & have only missed twice due to inclement weather.

My favorite two games I've been to was the 2003 45-20 ass-whooping of the 12-2 KC Chiefs & the 2005 come from behind (17-0 halftime) 23-20 win against the GB Packers with Edinger's 56 yard FG.

flew up from hawaii in 2005 to see the vikings spank the saints 33-16. got to witness the fastest score by the vikes in franchise record. also got some free stuff from the vikings like a media guide, signed culpepper jersey, and a plaque full of autographs. no wondah they my fav. team, they actually gave stuff to me. props to vikings community relatiions person brad madson.

had free tix at midfield 12 rows up and got to tour the bottom of the dome and went into one of those expensive suites since had connections with the metrodome commissioner. also got free hats and guides from him as well.

:(

7-2 at the Dome and 9-2 all time

Best two Dome games, the first time at the Dome in 2000 to see the Vikes beat Buffalo 31-27. Awesome first experience to see the Vikes at home. The next best game was 2002 when we beat GB 31-21 as part of a two game visit to the TC. What made it sweeter was that we'd lost to the Giants the weekend before and everyone expected the Pack to stroll in and collect the win. It was nice seeing Brett leave the field before the end of the game and vanish down the tunnel with Vikes fans laughing at him as he went

Well, the Vikings are 4-2 at home this season, so I'm 4-2.

What is your record at the dome all time?

At the Dome, I'm 10-9 (0-1 in 01, 3-1 in 05, 3-5 in 06 and 4-2 in 07).

Outside the Dome, I'm 2-1, so I'm 12-10 overall.

What was your most memorable game you have ever been to?

That's easy.
Purple Jesus setting the all-time NFL rushing record earlier this season against San Diego.

This year I am 3-2 (I missed the San Diego game :().

Overall in the dome I think I am 12-7.
I am only counting games when I was an adult because to be honest I have no idea what my record would otherwise.

Most memorable game was Randy Moss's debut against TB.
It would have been AD setting the rushing record had I been there... >:(

Well, I don't have to think to much about that one...LOL

I'm 1-0 and the only game I ever attended at the dome was two years ago, the day Tice was fired and we beat the Bears before that.....

It was my first ever visit to MN, and I had a great time meeting some PPO members for the first time.
Singer, Shock, Caine, Viking_Queen to name a few.....

It was a few days and game I'll never forget......Hell, I even got to go Ice Fishing while there, and got on my return flight smelling like fish...LOL

Especially because the dome was LOUD for both.

2002 - Atlanta week 13 lost 30-24 in OT 3-3 Michael Vick breaks off like a 50 yard run in OT to win
2003 - Chicago week 2 won 24-13 4-3
Vikings dominate Bears and time of possession on the ground
2003 - Green Bay week 9 lost 30-27 4-4
Brett Favre breaks my heart on my honeymoon
2004 - Dallas week 1 won 35-17 5-4
I believe Culpepper throws 5 TD passes in the opener
2005 - Tampa week 1 lost 24-13 5-5
Brought friend (TB fan), DC fumbles early 4th down snap & throws pick on GW drive, D lets TB break long TD run late
2005 - Cleveland week 12 W 24-12 6-5 Brought Browns friend, wife & ZDog, Vikes dominate Browns, MRob goes off
2006 - Green Bay week 10 L 23-17 6-6
Want to see Favre get beat one last time in Dome, but he hits Driver on slant just before half for crushing TD
2007 - Atlanta week 1 W 24-3 7-6
Vikings D dominates Falcons, 2 defensive TDs and a thrilling 60 yd screen pass TD to AD
2007 - Green Bay week 4 L 23-16 7-7 See 2006...Favre doesn't cooperate, dissects Vikings pass defense yet again

Obviously, my most memorable game was my first one....

Never been to the dome before. I went to a few redskins-vikes and ravens-vikes games. Most memorable is a tie between a game that was a whiles back when they played the ravens and that game tied the record for most kick returns for touchdowns. Vikes won. Then I went to a ravens game a few years later when brad johnson fumbled in the 4th quarter to seal the win for the ravens. After the game I got stomped out in the parking lot and the cops didn't do a dam thing. Ever since then I hate the ravens-cept for ray lewis because I went to their training camp one year and he threw with me and my little brother.

The most memorable(worst feeling in the world from the metrodome was when we lost to the falcons in the nfc chamionship game by a field goal! I walked by a store that I could have purchased a Vikings SB hat for 2 bucks or a case of them. That guy wasnt suposed to sell them but he and I was so pissed we were almost crying so he was going to sell me a hat if I wanted one! I should have goteen one. Wonder what it would have been worth now if any! But that was the most disgusting game. Another one was when we moved to the dome after the great years at the MET! I miss the MET! Hollar if ya Hear ME!

Oh and i almost forgot...
My most memorable game was the home opener this year when AD had that 60 yard TD catch.

1-5 All-time
Not had a lot of luck. My most memorable one was the win Oct. 5, 2003 in Atlanta. I also got engaged to a wonderful woman that day who passed away four short months after. A great trip to Atlanta and a great win with Frerotte to Moss two times.

Watched them play the Patriots Monday night last year which wasn't much of a game, but we went back this year and watched the eagles and chargers games back to back. The chargers game was by far the most memorable with the rushing record beaten by Peterson and the longest run back by the chargers. Great game altogether and really got to hear the dome rumble.

If i lived in Minnesota i would get season tickets every year, as i just can't get enough of it. It is now a tradition set by my family and i to travel down to Minneapolis and watch a couple games each year.

2-0 this season, the Falcons and Raiders games..

All time, geez ,say around 17-6, just home games..

As for the road, hmmm...like 5-10...

By far the most memorable home game for me, that I was at, the 2005 Packers game, where the Vikes won on a last second field goal. Most memorable games that I wasn;t at... The Hail Mary game against the Browns and
the '87 playoff win in Frisco

In Minnesota . . . 1-0.
Watched the Vikes put the big hurt on the Brownies a couple of Thanksgiving's ago.

Outside Minnesota . . . 1-1.
Saw the Lions play the Vikes twice in Detroit (once in each stadium).
We lost to the Lions back in 1999, but Jeff George came off the bench and almost won it for Minnesota.
Saw them about 4/5 years ago in Ford Field (that's a beautiful place) and we handed the Lions their tail.

So I guess overall, 2-1.

2-0 at the dome.
If any of you would like to sponser my trips from California for home games, I will be more then happy to keep that winning streak going indefinately!
:)

I was at the game years ago when Brad Johnson threw a pass against Carolina, the ball was tipped back to him, and he ran it in for a touchdown....
As far as I know, it is a fantasy league max play.....
a pass to himself for a touchdown....a 12 pointer plus yardage!
:)

I was also at the game a couple years ago, when Daunte threw 5 TD's against the Cowboys, including a down the middle of the field catch and run by SOD Smith and a diving catch of a bomb by "Lean back" Kelly Campbell!

I loved both experiences at the dome.....but unfortunately, I am reminded several times a year of a play in San Francisco that I witnessed first hand.
Yes, I sat in the stands cheering after my Vikes just knocked Joe Montana out of a game.....then this punk Steve Young came in and ran through every Viking player on the field for a touchdown.
I hate that replay.....DAMN I HATE THAT REPLAY!
I think it was 1994.....but I can still see it replay in my head as clearly as the replay on ESPN!

Unfortunately I am 0-1 at the Dome.
The only game I have ever attended in Minny was in '04 against the Seahawks and we lost 27-23.
We were up 10-0 early in the 1st, only to have the Seahawks score 2 TD's shortly thereafter (ahh, the no defense days).
It was close the whole way, but then on a drive at the end of the 4th quarter to take the lead Linehan calls a reverse pass for Moss and he throws an interception in the end zone.
Game over.

I am 0-0-1 at Vikes games outside of Minny (if you include preseason).
Went to the Vikings-Cowboys preseason game last year and the game ended up a 10-10 tie.
Vanderjagt missed 2 30 yard field goals in overtime....

JDogg926

7-0 at the Dome.
2-0 at the old Met.
Most memorable game was against the Seabags, December 7, 2003...I hosted clients in an endzone Box.
Moss had two long TDs (he was on my fantasy team that year) and the Vikes BLEW them out of the Dome 34-7.
Culpepper was on fire that day, Vkes looked mucho fast with Kelly Campbell scoring on a perfect pass and Mike Nattiel returning an INT 80 yards for a TD.

Of course, I was brought down when they CHOKED against the Cardinals

If you have been to 4 Vikings games and they won all 4 of those games, then you are 4-0.
You are also 4 for 4 on wins.

However, you are NOT 4-4.
That's 4 wins AND 4 losses.

I was at that game too. I believe it was 2001 or so. CC dropped the TD pass that would have won it for the Fins. Gary Anderson hit that FG he had no business hitting, it barely cleared the crossbar.

I'm 3-0 in Vikings games

Beat the Fins in 01?
Beat the Titans in 04?
Beat the Cowboys in the 99 Wild Card game.

I personally loved the game against the Cowboys.

Most memorable was the 2003 game against the Broncos with the lateral from Randy Moss to Moe Williams for the touchdown.
Lateral was right in front of where we were sitting.

Most forgettable was last year's Washington game.

Believe it or not, I'm undefeated.
A stellar 8-0 in the Dome.

On the road:
a not-so great 5-4.
Losses to the Giants, Eagles, and Tampa have left their mark.
Tailgaiting in Tampa 5 years in a row was a good time, as was tailgating at Giants stadium (even though Denny lost to Reeves)
>:(.
Oh, and, for the record, I will never go to another game in Philadelphia.

Most memorable game was 1998, Game 1 vs Tampa.
Vikes won 31-7.
It was completely obvious that Randy Moss, our controversial rookie, was, by far, the fastest player on the field.
Even though Brad Johnson hit Moss perfectly in stride for a 48 yard TD, it was also completely obvious that he had FAR too much speed for Johnson's arm...we were chanting for Randall Cunningham after the second time Brad undertrhrew Moss for certain TD's.
The crowd sensed something special was brewing in VikingLand.
Moss' speed was breathtaking, anyone who has seen him in person can appreciate what I'm trying to describe.
Cris Carter and Moss both had 2 TDs and got them started on what would end up being arguably, the best year for the Vikes.

Another memorable game was vs Seattle, Week 14, 2003.
Seattle was favored and the Vikes unleashed Moss and Kelly Campbell for 3 40+ yard TDs.
Vikes won 34-7...sending Seattle home like little babies.

Remember, in 2002, Shawn Alexander shredded the Vikes for 139 rushing yards and 4 rushing TDs and also had a receiving TD.
In 2003, the Vikes were determined to stop him, holding him to 56 yards rushing and a TD with only 8 yards receiving.
I don't know if I've ever had more fun at a Vikes game than that one!
The crowd was en fuego!

Unfortunately I grew up in a poor family so I couldn't attend the games at the dome, and my job in the military places me smack dab in the middle of Seahawk territory.
I usually go home in the summer during the offseason as well.

I really would like to go to one though, I bet it'd be fun.
I've got offered to go to Charger/Raider/Seahawk games, but I'd like my first at-the-game experience with the Vikings.

I'm winging it and saying 2-3.
YEARS ago versus the Bears on a Monday/Sunday Night, '98 versus the Jaguars, '00 home opener versus the Bears (C-Pep's first start), '04 (I think) versus the Pack (the year they got swept by the Pack and beat them in the playoffs), and this past year versus the Colts.

"marstc09" wrote:

All are equally memorable.
The first game I've been at was my induction as a new Viking fan...
And a new Bears hater.
We sat in nosebleeds with a ton of Bears fans.
The Bears won, and their fans were drunk and obscene..
Getting in my face (I was around 7ish).
Was scary.
In 98, the 'Dome was electric.
Never have I been to a more louder game than that one.
Was amazing.
The 2000 home opener versus the Bears was memorable because I didn't expect squat from C-Pep, and he smoked the Bears, in the air as well as on the ground.
I couldn't believe it.
In 2004, I was hoping for some payback for earlier that year when they lost 31-34 by a last second FG by none other than Longwell.
This game, as we all know, ended the exact same as their previous meeting, even the score was the same.
First Vikings vs. Packer game I've been too.
Bitter sweet.
And the last game I've been at was versus the Colts.
This was memorable in two ways for me..
First, it was my first game I've been to with my dad since my first Viking game.
Second, it was the game I met alot of you tailgaters.
Weddy, Shock, Zeus, Chazz, NodakPaul are a few that I remember chatting with.
Still haven't been able to make another tailgate... but may change that up this weekend.
Maybe.

Best game I have seen in the dome(on tv) was that butt whooping we gave to the Niners, when Gus had thrown 4 td's, 3 of them, or the AP game agains the Chargers..

Best game of the year was against the Saints, even though it was on the road, i love that game.

My record is 2-2 at the dome.
My favorite gme was 1998 against Jacksonville.
They beat the jaguars in the dome something like 55-10.
I had nose bleed seats, the jcksonville fans cried at half time!

I believe your signature is a picture of that first-ever NFL TD, is it not?

That's the cardinals, his first td was at home

The towels we're a site to see ... and yeah Adrians first touchdown was a long Pass play believe it or not a swing pass to the flat on the right side that he bobbled and damn near dropped , but hauled it in , made a cut and was of to the races.

My most memorable games:

*Watching Peterson break the single game rushing record
*Watching the Vikings come back in the 2nd half to beat the Packers 23-20 with a last second field goal by
Edinger.

Most memorable game was 3 seasons ago when the Twins won there final game and almost everyone stayed (including the players in the dugout) to watch the jumbotron as the White Sox lose and the place went nuts.
It was one of the loudest times I ever heard at the dome.

5-0. I don't go much, but when I do, they win!

Most memorable, by far, is sitting front row watching Peterson break the single game rushing record. Although he scored most of his TDs on the other end, Rice jumped into our section about ten-fifteen seats down from us.

I have been to 4 games (all away)

My first was the heartbreaker in AZ in '03.
That sucked quite a bit.
Right after the touchdown I was at a dead run to my car for almost two miles without stopping to avoid any heckling from Cards fans.
I told my brother (a Cards fan) that if he wants a ride home he better keep up with me.

Went to Chicago in '05.
I spent a pretty penny (for me) on the tickets and was excited to see my Vikes again.
It was a beautiful day by the lakeside and the Vikes just sucked big time.
I think I was the only Vikes fan in my section and sat for three hours in my Moss jersey and didn't say a word.
To top it off, I had to spend the rest of the day walking around in downtown Chicago with EVERYONE age 5-90 making fun of me.

Another trip to Chicago in '06.
It was in December so I froze my nuts off.
Luckily, I was so bundled up nobody could tell I was a Vikes fan.
We sucked pretty bad that day too.

Went to the Vikes game here in AZ.
Went with 3 Cards fans and I was finally rewarded with a redemptive win.
I took full advantage of it and high-fived every Vikes fan I could find and made fun of all Cards fans.

I will be going to this year's Vikes/Cards game.
I would love to watch a game in the Dome at least once before I die.
Hopefully, I can do it before I have to make a Bucket List.

I realize this is very hard to believe but, I've never been to a Vikinds game in person, and watched them lose yet.
And I've been to a very good number of games over the past 40 years....Most impresive thing is, most games I've been to, have been road games....I guess I'm just very lucky.
But it's a fact.

I have honestly no idea, but I know its been more wins than losses. Most memorable game at the dome? 2 come to mind AP breaking the single game record, Also my wife's first Viking game.
Last year Detroit , Not a exciting game by any means but it was the first time my boys got to go to a vikings game, and to tailgate. So they loved the idea of a Vikings party as they like to call it

Ya I was at that game peterson broke the single game rushing record too. It was amazing listening to the crowd chant his name and MVP. It was alsot the first time I have seen them win in person.

I was also at the monday night packer game this year, and the dome was so electric it gave me goose bumps!

Haven't been to many loses, let's see:
Packers - 2
Carolina - 1
Pats - 1
Falcons - 2
Jets - 1
Eagles - 1
I think that might be it.

So I'm something like 33-8 or so.

Most memorable game is probably San Francisco this year, it was truly amazing.
AD's 296 yard games is pretty close though.

At the Dome, I'm 10-9 (0-1 in 01, 3-1 in 05, 3-5 in 06 and 4-2 in 07).

Outside the Dome, I'm 2-1, so I'm 12-10 overall.

Updating:
3-1 this year, all at the Dome, so I'm now 15-11 all-time.

Updating:
6-3 this year, all at the Dome.
My record before this year was not accurate when I did the last update, so I'm now 19-14 all-time, 17-13 at the Dome.

Most memorable games are:

* AD's 296 against SD in 2007

* The division-clincher against the Giants with Longwell's 50-yarder to win in 2008

More to come in 2009, I'm sure!

Updating:
6-0 this year, 5-0 at the Dome and 1-0 in St. Louis.
So, that makes me 25-14 all-time, 22-13 at the Dome.
Most memorable games are:

* AD's 296 against SD in 2007

* Favre's last-second TD pass against the Niners this year (the game that Mars left early)

Vikes are 2-0 when I'm at the dome.

First game- 1998 vs. Bengals- blowout win 24-3, we weren't trying in the 4th quarter or we would have run up the score a grip. I got to see Cunningham, Fiedler, and Johnson all play at QB. I was only like 6 years old though so it's hard to remember.

Second game- last week vs. Seahawks. I apparently got to see Favre's greatest game ever, and then see Tarvaris have an even better QB rating. Another blowout win.

Send me Vikes tix, we will win. Simple as that. Lowest offer is $20 and two upper deck 50 yard line seats for a win tomorrow vs. Chicago.

Most memorable game at the Dome was probably my first...the 1998 NFC Championship game. All was sweetness and light until Cunningham's fumble right before the end of the first half...and after that, I knew it would be a battle. Heartbreak soon followed.

Anyway, since I live so far away (Cincinnati), I never get to more than one or two games a year. Here's my list:

1/17/99 ATL 30, MIN 27 OT NFCCG 'Nuff said
10/10/99 CHI 24, MIN 22 Rookie Kleinsasser loses two fumbles
12/20/99 MIN 24, GB 20 MNF, about zero degrees outside, George outduels Favre
9/3/00 MIN 30, CHI 27 First yr starter Daunte Culpepper rushes for 3 TDs
11/12/00 MIN 31, ARZ 14 Vikes roll with over 450 yds of offense
2001 - No games attended, recovering from head-on collision auto accident
12/1/02 ATL 30, MIN 24 OT Vick leaves Vikings in his wake on a 46 yd TD run in OT
9/14/03 MIN 24, CHI 13 Vikes run for 202 yds, Cully 20-26 for 214 and 2 TDs
11/2/03 GB 30, MIN 27 Favre breaks my heart on my honeymoon...wife and I went to Hawaii after that
9/12/04 MIN 35, DAL 17 Daunte Culpepper opens record season with 5 TD passes
9/11/05 TB 24, MIN 13 Cully turnovers doom Vikes
11/27/05 MIN 24, CLE 12 3 Marcus Robinson TDs, five turnovers doom Browns
11/12/06 GB 23, MIN 17 Favre has 347 passing yds, hits Driver on slant for 82 yd TD just before half.
9/9/07 MIN 24, ATL 3 Adrian Peterson's NFL debut, Vikes D dominates Falcons
9/30/07 GB 23, MIN 16 Favre sets all-time TD pass record, throws for 344 yds
10/12/08 MIN 12, DET 10 Vike TOs keep Lions close, iffy PI call late sets Vikes up for winning FG
9/27/09 MIN 27, SF 24 Favre hits Greg Lewis for miracle Favre finish and Vikings win

There you go...my record at the Dome is 10-8. On the good side though, we may be on the cusp of something great. I had seen the Vikings three times on the road prior to last season, and the Vikes lost all three. However, starting with the road game last season at the Lions, continuing with an exhibition win this season at Indy and then the season opener at Cleveland, the Vikes have won their last three on the road where I have been in attendance. This now makes five straight Vikings games I have been to that the Vikings have won. And guess what...I'm getting playoff tickets....
