View Full Version : Crystal Ball Says...

Here's an interesting take on the future of the Vikings from Mike Tanier at Fox... I think he misses commenting on the Vikes going after a big name WR and DE in FA but other then that...

Vikings at Niners: The Vikings Future History, by Edgar Cayce's cousin's great-nephew's drycleaner:

December 9, 2007: The Vikings beat the 49ers. The Lions also lose, making the Vikings a likely wild-card team.

Sunday, January 6, 2006: Tarvaris Jackson throws three interceptions in a playoff loss to the Buccaneers. On the same day, Donovan McNabb announces that he would like a change of scenery. "Philly fans just accused me of causing bird flu to cross species and starting the sub-prime mortgage crisis. It's time to go."

April 26, 2008: After months of haggling, the Vikings and Eagles make a draft-day trade. The Vikings swap a second round pick and a 2009 first rounder to Philly for McNabb. Herschel Walker is not invited to the post-trade press conference.

April 27, 2008: Tarvaris Jackson applies for work at Dunder Mifflin.

May Minicamp: McNabb meets Adrian Peterson and smiles. He meets his linemen and smiles wider. He meets his receiving corps. His smile diminishes slightly.

October 19, 2008: McNabb misses a game with a sprained ankle, but Brooks Bollinger hands off 40 times to Peterson to win a game and lift the Vikings to 5-1. Vikings fans do not immediately suggest that Bollinger is the better quarterback. McNabb's mother deletes a pre-written blog post.

February 1, 2009: McNabb throws two touchdown passes and Peterson runs for three more scores as the Vikings rout the Jaguars in the Super Bowl. Eagles fans grumble, but their despair is fleeting. While the Vikings and McNabb celebrate, the Eagles have a first-round pick coming their way to use on the next quarterback to get booed out of town.

Funny piece.
I thought for sure a few weeks ago that the Vikes would go for McNabb. But now after TJ is playing better, I don't think so. I see them drafting a QB and letting him play behind TJ as a backup.
I know I'll get a lot of heat on this but that's just my opinion. I don't think that Childress will start anyone but TJ unless he's too injured to play.

Speaking of QBs did anyone else see Tyler thigpen is out for the rest of the season for a knee injury?

So our first playoff game this year will be in January of 2006?

I don't see us giving a first and a second for McNabb!!
Not with the way TJack has played recently.
I'm still all about improving the depth behind him though!

I say we offer PHI a case of yuengling and a philli cheese steak for him!

I know this who ever owns this crystal ball needs to have a cat scan done and see if the hampster hasn't fallen off the wheel or died in the process. I feel an freak out coming on if we get rid of our 1st and 2nd for Mcnabb. I am not saying T-Jack is god or anything to that effect. I would honestly like to see Fitzgerald show back up on the sidelines but not as a ball-boy as a receiver. As our defense takes the field momentarily to run back a pick for 6 ;D

Ther is now way I buy into that. Mcnugget is constantly either hurt or crying to the media. TJ is a far better option for the team than the chunky salesman
