Ok, some of you asked and here it is.

I went through and clipped the sack, his runs, and the pick.
No this is not a video dogging the guy.
I think it shows a young QB that is developing and maturing.

Scene 1, Sack:

I am putting this one of Peterson.
If he had not double pumped he would've got rid of the ball.
I think he was looking downfield because he had Richardson out of the backfield.
But that's ok, game just started, he is young and these things will happen.
The key is did he continue to do this during the course of the game?
No.

Scramble for 6

I like it.
Drops backs, gives his primary a look and sees nothing, pocket opens up, and then he steps up for a 6 yard gain.
The play that kills a defense.

Scramble for 10

Once again, drops back, pocket opens up and he is able to step up and get 10 for a first down.
I like the pump fake as he is approaching the LOS.
It causes the defender to have to cover both TJ and the RB and gives TJ that little edge to get around him.
I would like to see him tuck that ball once 100% committed to running.
Waiving the rock out there like that is very risky.
Good job though.

The Pick

Drops back, his option is not there, tucks and runs.
He throws a perfect pass right to Fisher.
Not the brightest of passes but one I can understand.
I think at this time with the score where it was and we just had a killer fake FG the adrenaline was running at full speed.
IMO TJ wanted to make a play, nobody wants to throw it away and settle for 3.
He's learning and I do not think 1 pick in 2 games is cause for concern.

I am happy with his progress and I do wish the best for him.

Enjoy

Thanks for the video. :)

Tavaris is still a young QB and he will continue to get better every game.
I would like to see him get 250 + yds passing before the season is done.
That would be a sign that maybe we can depend on him to be the QB of the Vikings' future. 8)

He is getting better. I would like to see him take off more. He runs well when he does this. This kid is going to be good. In time he will prove the haters wrong.

I agree with him running a bit more.
He is finally getting rid of that hesitation where he would just kind of dance step and get sacked while he couldn't decide to pass or run.
But he needs to learn to slide, it's just nerve racking watching him on the end of some of those runs.

It's a nice video Ultra. Quick and to the point. I like it when we have something realistic film to discus, instead of just throwing random statements out there.

I think it's pretty clear that TJack is becoming more confident and decisive in his play. Even the best QBs take sacks and throw interceptions. As long as they are not as bad decisions as what we all saw Eli Manning make, we can still evaluate him as good or at least better.

I wish we had some of these from earlier in the season, then we could compare what we see in the videos.

Thanks.

Maybe we should pick some plays each week and discuss certain things about them.
Maybe some controversial plays or whatever.
Just let me know and I will create the clips of them.

I would like to see clips focusing on the O-line on passing vs running plays.
I find the general coverage of the game doesn't typically give you very good shots of the O-line.
I wish the coverage of the games would be more comprehensive, add more cameras and do more analyses.
The NFL network should have a bunch of cameras at games breaking down the intricacies of plays, rather than just the blanket views of the big plays each week.

What he said.......
;D

I love the two shows they do on NFLN called AFC and NFC playbook.
We actually get to see coaches film and Baldy and Sterling do a great job breaking things down.
I wish it was a bit longer and a bit more indepth but it is still pretty good.

That's cool Ultra. When you have that option, and if you have the time. You do a good job of taking a relevant focus, which has been on TJack fo the past couple of games.

I'm with Proph in that another focus could be the O-line blocking. I think fx. that McKinnie has been outed for the plays where he gets beat on the speed rush. But it could be cool to see what he does in the run game, or see how the Gs pull to help our run game. I think they do that more now.

I can think of other interesting things like looking at some of our blitzpackages that we have talked somewhat about. Both when they get the penetration, and when it hurts us in the pass game.

Another thing could be a focus on the CBs. We have had a couple of young kids in there, and I know that there must at least be some interesting shots of McCauley from the Giants game.

But the bottom line is also what you can find when you sit with the material, and what is interesting will probably change from each game to the next.

I was really impressed with his decision making this week for the most part.

It was nice to see him get out of the pocket and run a little bit.

I owuld love to look at the secondary play.
Problem is you cannot really see what happens back there from the snap on.
Unless they show good replays, it is very hard to analyze.

Yeah I know. That's why I said it all depends on what you see of interesting things when you run the gametape through the whatever it is you use.

I just listed a few of the things I could see as interesting if there is good shots of it that jump in your eyes.
