Before the newbies papa and duhbears, and the always witty bartime and packman show up. Let me say what a disappointment. The Vikings didn't show up and the Bears out-played them. Congrats to the under .500 Bears and shhh, the packer-eagle game isn't over yet.

SKOL Vikings!

actually i will not be talking any smack despite your misplaced overconfidence going into this game. i tried to tell you that the bears would put up a fight this game and they did.

although the bears outplayed the queens today i think it was also a matter of the queens shooting themselves in the foot. for one thing you got into the red zone several times but fell apart and the turnovers killed you. losing antoine winfield was big because hutch exploited that corner of yours for the rest of the game.

for us hutch was the big unknown. nobody was sure how he would manage the game but he did pretty well i thought. i expected a big running game but it was his pass attack especially on 3rd downs that made a difference for us today.

i will say this, your d-line looks very good. they did a great job today against both run and pressuring hutch and i think they will look more like carolina's front 4 in the future.

anyway i am thrilled we won but we're still behind in the playoff race so its more of a morale booster than anything. you guys at least are still in the lead for a wild card.

I will admit I was highly overconfident going into today that the team would win. However, I think the Bears flat out wanted this game more than the Vikings did. Congrats to the Bears on a good win and good luck the rest of the year, Vikings need to step it up next week with Seattle at home...

I wouldn't say I was overconfident, just highly confident. The Bears had a very good game and deserve the win. I just can't stand the inconsistant play of the Vikings.

Congratulations on the win, I thought the D would rise up and crush the Cubbies.. but anything can happen on any given sunday.

Well, after those two wins I thought we had some momentum to build on. Apparently I was wrong.

overconfident--me too, but i wasn't playing the game... this game was utter bullshit for a vikings fan... the vikes abanduned the run that was giving onterio 8.5 yards per carry up till the end of the half. we were only down by 4 at this time, then 10... the O couldn't score in the second half...give me a fuckin break... where were our vikings of the last four weeks...their heart i mean. culpepper choked--again (vs. the eagles and the smalls)...but you know wha--i figure he will choke at least one more time (he is usually good for 4 per year).

i am very disappointed. why does this team have so much trouble playing on grass? wear longer spikes--dumbasses!

good points about game... culpepper had some great plays but his 3 INT's outshined any of them. burleson had a great catch and wiggins played well again. vikes d only showed up till about half way through the first half. our special teams blocking for kick-offs and punts suck as usual... anyway, fuck this.

i'll wait for next week. there is always next week.

Couple thoughts:
Is Moss really close to 100%? If he is, he is still trying to hide it. If he is hurt, let him heal.
I am very jealous of the Bears defense. They never give up. No missed tackles (other than Wiggins pushing a bear 12 yards early in the game).
Our defensive line was great. KW is the real deal.
If all NFL teams carry one or two kickers, do you mean to tell me that we can't find anyone who can reach the endzone? There isn't more than 65 guys in the world who can do that?

vikings deserve to lose playing like that...what a embarassment

urlacher was a beast today. he disrupted the vikes O so bad, i couldnt believe all the plays he was in on.

Why can't our secondary play more aggressive? We get beat on 3rd and long 3 or 4 times a game. If we get burned that often anyway, why not stay on them rather than have 4 of us 5+ yards downfield from any of the receivers?

This game was like watching a frickin middle school JV game. I thought I was going to blow After all the turnovers then that drive where there were penalties about every frickin play then the field goal got blocked. :angryfire:

Our guys just weren't ready. It looked like they had no idea what was going on. Offense and Defense. Tice had better start getting his team ready for games. Lovie took advantage of our defensive dumbness and came out changing formations.

Not only is cotrell calling a sh!tty defensive game (the blitz worked so, duh, keep using it), but so did linehan. When he first came here I was impressed with his playcalling. Now its been a crappy call followed by a sh!tty call. We were getting what, 8.5 yards a carry? Run the ball. And Boo-hoo-hoo. They're blitzing too much. Call a screen or a draw. And whats with that play with putting russell in at QB. I know he played that back in the day, but you've got daunte. But I guess daunte was playing pretty sh!tty so i guess you have got to turn to your sh!tty defense for help. This game had great, Grand, WONDERUL playcalling.

Sorry for that. just had to vent some steam. Now i think i feel a little better.

Props for coach tice for finally winning a challenge.

True, when you give up the ball like the Vikes did you deserve to lose.

3 INTs and 1 Fumble and a missed (blocked) FG

Bears D played well! They disrupted us with pressure all day.

Penalties killed us. It ruins momentum.

This Suck, I am ready for next week at home against the SeaDogs.

Anyone that is disillussioned that we are a legitimate SB team, the truth is we just put ourselves back into the souppy mix of mediocrity.

That was a terrible play. If you want to go for it, put the offense in and go for it. It was a chickencrap play call. It didn't improve our chances of making it at all.

Ya! That 4th down deal was hilarious...although I was fuming at the time! They didn't even look they knew what they wanted to do with play at all...what was it supposed to be...a pass? If you're going for it on 4th at least put your main men in there...if it's going to be a fake...at least get the punter out there and quick snap it!!! Tice looked like a dope on that one! I think us without Moss is just too much impact on our whole team...Culpepper hasn't passed quite as sharp...(although he made some amazing escapes today!!), the running and blocking has faded...and the D is it's usual phsyco-schizo self, playing good one day and invisible the next. All in all...we're a team still trying to get better from last year...and we're still there.

One more note before I go...does Culpepper look like he's holding on to the ball in the pocket a little too long? He seems to have to make Houdini-like escapes more recently...and a few times over the past few games he's been nailed simply looking for a receiver. I think he does well when he's rolling out to his right...I think they should do a little more of that type of pass.

I don't think Moss is anywhere close to 100%.
He hasn't gone deep yet. that will tell when he does.

Yes once again the Coaching Staff has our team in total disaray. They can not seem to put a gameplan together or have players in the right postion. When they are the players do not execute.
I am not sure I want to see them make a playoff spot with such poor play and bad game plans and very bad playcalling on both the O and D.
It would be great to just get a real Playbook with some plays that work......well they would not call them anyway.

I really think the difference in the game was the fact that Urlacher was playing. I haven't seen him play a game that good since he had the two big boys in front of him (washington and traylor). He was all over the field and played a great game! Congrats to the Bears for kickin our ass!
