Tarvaris Jackson 10/12 1 TD 129 yards, 5 runs for 38 yards
- seems to be managing the game a bit better

Chester Taylor 1 TD 31 carries 71 yards
- Workhorse!

Sidney Rice 3 Receptions for 82 yards and 1 TD
- Looks to be the #1 WR on the Vikings.

Chad Greenway 1 INT for TD 3 Tackles
- First career NFL Regular season TD

Dwight Smith 2 INT 1 for TD 3 Tackles and 1 assist
- Big game for DSmith!

Darren Sharper 1 INT for TD 2 tackles
- First INT since week 2.

I am going to vote for Jackson, he just seems to be making more good decisions, his accuracy is getting better and he showed that he can also run.

Personally, I'd give the game ball to Eli ;)

I think Leber played really really well today, i'd give it to him tjack and/or CTaylor

I voted Dwight Smith, but you should have put Ben Leber in there as well, he was all over the place and he tipped the ball that was intercepted by Dwight Smith resulting in the 93 yard TD.

I to give it to TJ, made good decisions, and made some pretty good runs to, when he got off of strahan LOL

This shows you what a little bit... i mean just a little bit of passing offense will get you with the type of offense the Vikes have.
Congrats guys, Vikes did very well today all around.

T-Jack game ball, along with Childress

D Smith, 2 ints and 2 TD's......Nice game for sure.

But funny, no one mentioned Cook yet.........He did a great job on Strahan today......Gotta give him some props.... ;D

Dwight Smith only had 1 Touchdown.

I give the game ball to T-Jack. I was thinking he might be scared to run after getting knocked out against SD- that is certainly not the case. He did not look tentative when he ran at all.

Dwight Smith! Give some props to T-Jack as well, good efficient game by him.

I said Sharper because he set the tone and got the ball rolling. If the G-Men would have went down and scored on that drive the game may have been very different.

He really didn't impress me much.
Held the ball way too long and got sacked how many times?
If I'm not mistaken, the defense outscored the offense 24 to 17.

"T-Joke" had 70% completion rating last week and went 10/12 this week.
He doesnt need Brady numbers, but you can't say he hasn't done what has been asked of him the past 2 games.
He did well on his runs today too.

Is he a quality NFL starter? well we'll see after next week then i'll judge him, but he definatly deserves to be on that list today

Kind of difficult today. You'd want to give it to the D as a whole maybe, because there were so many playing good there.

I put my vote on Smith for the two interception.

But I recognize the front for finding a way to apply a lot of pressure today. We had a great blitz package too. EJ came up the middle a lot, and didn't you just love to see Gordon drill Eli in the back. I could go on and on.

I gotta go with the LB.

They are helping out in coverage as well as helping out with getting pressure on the QB.

Great job by all three today and much deserving of a game ball.

By too long do you mean the seconds it took for the Giants to get to him? C'mon! This Giants D is known for sacks and TJ play exceptionally well for his 12th start against a QUALITY D. Please, stop looking for negatives and realize he's improving every week. Plus, The D had more opportunities to out score the Offensive b/c whenever the D scores, they have to go back out onto the field. so...

And ignore Garland, he just like to get a rise out of people over TJ

Leslie Frazier deserves some credit.
All of you guys who are still dogging TJAck should get over it.
He's got a steep learning curve and he's really coming along now...5-2 as a starter...sure the D did a ot and the RBs in the other games, but he's managing the games well...and he finally completed a nice deep ball.

Childress and the rest of the coaching staff deserve the game ball, no one individual took over this game. I also give them credit for keeping the pressure on Manning into the second half, instead of that "prevent" bullshit.

No you don't....but it showed some leadership and hunger for the win. Jackson seemd to have more of his head in the game, looked off the safety for the first TD and protected the ball, his internal clock needs some work but he show improvement against a defense that could have eaten raw and made him look like Eli Manning lol

I was thinking Wilf also since he is sticking by his guns and the game was won by an overall team effort.
Why not throw the owner a gameball after beating his [i]former[i] favorite team. :P

Yet, I think my game ball goes to Bryant Mckinnie and Chester Taylor.
I thought both did a good job overall

It would have to be split into a lot more than 11 pieces.
One big thing that the Vikings stress is depth on defense.
The substitutes all played extremely well while they were in there too.
Evans and Johnson stepped it up when they were called in.
I was surprised that i never saw anything from Mitchell or Robinson tho, but yea, still over all great play by our ENTIRE D, not just the starting 11.

Not enough game balls to pass around today. The linebackers, The DB's, and that front four were all aggressive and Frazier's playcalling kept Eli backpedaling and making mistakes.

The o-line fought in a big dog fight today, and we stuck with the run and wore them down. Tarvaris got the ball to the recievers and they made plays when they had the ball thrown to them 83.3% completions for Tarvaris. Good coaching, great play from our depth, and Ryan Cook had a darn good game against Strahan, as did McKinney. But just for driving the car so well I give Tarvaris the game ball.

If you're going to play that kind of game with the numbers, then it's really 24-10, because the last TD was scored after the Vikings went into a prevent-sort of defense.

hell it was even closer >.> it was 4-8 on the 9 yard line.

i just can't bring myself to vote for Jackson yet.

everytime he dropped back to pass i cringed because he has awful pocket awareness.
he has no concept of how long he's back there and where the rushers are.
and when he gets pressured, he's not sure if he wants to run or pass, and ends up getting sacked, or fumbles.
plus, his stats weren't great either.
10/12 is good, 129 yards is not.
one td and no ints is good though.
overall, his performance was just average.

i picked Dwight smith, with ben Leber as a close second

What the hell do you want him to do. He did what he had to do. Are u a T-Jack hater?

i_bleed_purple
11-26-2007, 09:53 AM
i an not a tjack hater, but to give him the gameball when there are so many other players who actually had great games is absurd.
if you take away his long pass to sidner rice, that makes him 19/12 for 69 yards.
I do think Tjack can be good, mabye next year, hopefully this year.
he's being fairly efficient at not causing turnovers (with the exception of his fumbles, but that has to do with his lack of pocket awareness)

as for what the hell do i want him to do?
one game i want to see him take the game into his own hands.
we only had about 100some yards rushing, so i want to see him pick up the slack and mabye pass for 250 yds and a couple of td's.
that would be impressive and deserving of gameball

actually you would be mistaken.
24 points for the defense implies they scored a fieldgoal, and last i checked, the defence can't score a fieldgoal

it would be more like 21-20 for the defense

but i do agree with you about TJack.
he needs to work on his internal clock.
he has no concept of how long he's back in the pocket.
but having said that, it is an improvement over what we're used to.

For now though, I am happy that he isn't having anymore Detroit Lion games or (Eli Manning) New York Giant games for that matter.

You need a good running game to help out a Young QB.
We, in fact have a pretty gol 'darnit good running game, a OL that is solidifing and a group of WR's that are just a tweak away from being a very good group.

Just manage the game TJ, play within yourself and don't do anything stupid that will cost us the game and above allllllllllllll........Don't get Fricken hurt Mr. 5-2 as a starter.

Those mediocre numbers coupled with the team results tells you just how important it is to get some output from QB... any output.
Imagine AD being back in with a halfway functioning QB.
Defense is in step with new schemes, OL working great, and Rice becoming the 'go to' reciever.
Decent QB performance is the only thing standing in the way of a playoff run for this team.
