View Full Version : Why the hell won't they call a playaction pass play?

The Packers stick eight or nine in the box every play and are expecting a running play every first and second down.
Fake a handoff to Peterson and throw the ball long.
Our receivers will be wide open.
Maybe once we connect on a pass or two they won't stack their defense against the run every play and they will be a little hesitant to rush towards Peterson every time it looks like a handoff.

Or they could hand off to Peterson and have him lateral back to Bollinger for a pass.
They need to do something to keep from being predictable.
This is the NFL, you can't run on every first and second down then call and bland pass play on third.

Because Bollinger has a flabby arm and our WR's are Troy, Wade, and Ferguson.

Ha.....this is fuckin hilarious....how about everyone who thinks they know how to put together a good winning game plan please speak up and the rest just shut up. Yes blame it all on Childress!!! Omg this is funny. Half the Vikings fans are sounding like packer fans.

I blame Childress because:

1. His defensive zone scheme sucks.

2. No pressure on Favre.

3. Offensive playcalling is as vanilla as it gets.

I have a few ideas on how to set up the offense... Does that count?

well at the moment the team doesn't look ready to play - that is down to the coaching staff not prepping the players properly.

1. He doesn't even mess with the defense at all really....blame Frazier.
2. Above
3. Ok so lets give it to our play makers on offense.....Ok, sounds great!! No play making QB, no proven playmaking WR, no really solid TE. Ok, lets go with AD.....oh yeah! He has been doing that!!

Lets see...in an interview AP said that they held them late again, then he said thats normal. I don't think its from lack of time spent preparing. Maybe its because this team has no really good leader on offense. No Farve to hold this team together and take it on his shoulders.

The Vikings defense looks slow on this field.

What a heartless, pathetic effort, all around.
What a contrast ... Brett Favre out there, 38 years young, playing with heart on his sleeve and marginal talent around him, ripping up a very overrated defense.

Especially our DEs and Henderson. When Henderson blitzes it’s like slow motion.

Looks like there was a huge let down emotionally from last week here. We are not playing on either side of the ball very well. Where was our RUN defense in the first half?? To allow Grant over 100 yards was awful!

Bollinger didn't hurt us....he had no help from the team catching passes he did throw (Peterson dropped One and or TE slipped on another) and the coaches called no pass plays down field at all in the first half to see what BB could do (If Anything)

We just looked FLAT overall....I didn't expect that after having something to build upon after such a wonderful job last week.

Cheers!

we looked badly coach.
aren't we suppose to know this team?
have they honestly went from being us to 8-1 and we are the same team as last year?
man mike mccarthy must be a genius.
oh no, we'll just give the credit to the front office, just like childress gets off the hook by you assholes cuz he just plays with what hes got. bullshit, we haven't progressed in 2 years and how else are you gonna blame but the head coach.
we have the same problems we had all of last year, except now we have adrian peterson, barring he's not injured badly.
but somehow we still have no passing game whatsoever.
maybe we just don't use are passing game in any way that could possibly be effective.
that's my guess cuz you can't tell me with the likes of probably 2/3 of the league with so/so qbs that we can't get anything going at all just cuz our qb.
especially since all 4 have looked identical.

Let see, I would bet that BC has about 50 plays of his own and he runs each one in order.
He is the worst head coach we have EVER had.
Find a guy that can call plays that is not outdated by 10 years.
Get a guy who is younger and a guy who has playmaking stills to coach.
BC needs to be fired!!!!!!!!!
