Just heard about it on sports radio. Why not, can't get any worse for them.

He's been out of football for a while, but after watching the offense score 0 points against Dallas with Quinn at QB, Jeff George can't be any worse.

Nothing like an embarassing nationally televised game to get the front office to losen the wallet. George won't be their answer either.

George did pretty good when he was with the Vikes.
He gotta be better that Quinn.

He did ok with the Vikes. I never liked him though. He had and may still have a good arm, but without any accuracy what good is he?

The Bears still suck.

when jeff was with us, he just tossed it deep and randy would make the play.

This is one of the few games that I'm worried about left on our schedule. They DO suck, but for some reason no bad how they suck they play us well at soldier. However... our boys can get it done!!! I think it will be closer then it should be though!

Soldier field is grass that is why the Vikings do not play well there. Jeff George will probably be a back-up as there is no way he can learn the playbook fast enough.

he said on some chicago sports radio station that he could learn the offense in 2 days........

after seeing the bears offense on thanksgiving i believe it, since there apparently isnt an offense anyway.

i'd be more afraid if they picked up Rob Johnson as QB... :pukeright:

The problem is him executing the plays in the playbook.
He's been on the shelf for awhile now.

The only real success George ever had was when he had alot of talent surrounding him (aka Vikes). The Bears don't fit the bill. If he starts over Jonathan Quinn look for a rout - Actually, look for a rout no matter who starts. The most important player for the Bears on both sides of the ball is out, a QB and Urlacher.

Bears have had 25 QBs since 2001.
