Well, the Vikings got off to what seemed like a good start to our season on Sunday (Sept. 8) playing against the Bears at their alternate home in Champaign, Illinois. Unfortunately, the Vikes just couldn't hold off late in the fourth quarter. Culpepper's pass, which was intercepted by the Bears' Mike Brown with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter, and the fumble that Culpepper encountered a little while later when Rosevelt Colvin knocked the ball out of his hands, which was recovered by Bryan Knight, were the two leading downfalls to the Vikings' loss in their first game of the season. It was a sad loss to bear but the Vikes appear to be off to a better start this season than last season.
Randy Moss and Michael Bennett did well also. Moss caught six of 16 passes, including a 33-yard touchdown pass that put the Vikes up 20-10 at the half. Randy Moss' attitude was much more calm and mature in Today's game.
Hopefully, the Vikes can pull off a big win next week at their home in the dome against the Buffalo Bills. SKOL VIKINGS!!!
