Common Man is phenomenal.
Only the 7 of 10 complain; ie the nimrods out there with a complete lack of the capacity for self reflection and a sense of humor.

There's no one else like him.
He can talk for a half hour on one subject and not say a thing.

He kind-of grows on you though.

Meh, he doesn't do much for me.
I try and listen to streaming KFAN during the day, but find myself switching when he is on.
He doesn't bother me, but doesn't really interest me either.

You're in the majority then Nodak.
The 7 of 10.

The "Common Man" is the worst show on KFAN.
What he calls "humor" is bluster and a high-pitched squealing voice, with pregnant pauses and rim-shots interspersed to let the radio listener know when they should laugh.

I have called and been on-the-air with the Superstar, PA&Dubay(multiple times - won tickets to the Moody Blues in July a couple weeks ago), Hartman, Sludge & Lake, Vikings & Wild post-game shows and Chris Hawkey's Saturday NASCAR show.
I listen to a lot of KFAN.
And I just can't stand Common.

And I appreciate low-brow humor as much as the next guy who's married to his sister(although, I do think the 3 Stooges are wayyyyyyy overrated as an example of "man" humor).

I listen to him via the web a few times.

He isn't as bad as our local idiot down here (ESPN 1310 -Tony Mercurio).

Same here. I've been known to listen to the KFAN stream, but by the time he gets on, I will usually listen to something else. I don't find him very humerous or entertaining.

He just isn't funny to me, mostly because it's the same schtick again and again.
I know, Common fans will say "You don't get it, that's Common Man!"
No I get it, I just don't think that it's funny and I like comedy.
Bring me Carlos Mencia, Paul Rodriguez, Ron White or someone who can make me laugh and think.

Carlos Mencia?
The well known thief of all other comedians gigs?
He isn't funny; he just relies on race jokes which are old, tired, and boring.

But this just goes to show, to each their own what they find interesting.
I prefer the nuance, not the blunt stick.

Ron White though, he is funny as hell.
See what I mean, everyone has a range of comedic taste?

I am glad Common got 3 more years; someone to add some levity after the godawful syrupy homerfest for the hours preceding him...and before Hartman comes on to bore the living daylights out of you with his psuedo-intellectualism!

Nothing is funny.

If you read that as

Nothing is funny.

versus

Nothing is funny.

There are two completely different interpretations.
We all interpret things differently and some things are only funny if you have had the experiences so you can understand the joke.

I have no idea about the show you guys are talking about, have never heard it before.

I can't listen to Common man either. He is just not entertaining. I can say he is good when I want to take that noon time na on my day off and I want to get to sleep.
