The KAO didn't garner much support for prime-time action this year.
Check out the Vikes stats for prime-time games below for an historical perspective.
Vote for the hell of it, you don't have anything better to do.

Not ready for prime time? (http://www.vikingsnow.blogspot.com/)

With the NFL set to release the regular-season schedule Wednesday, it will be interesting to see how many (if any) Vikings games end up in prime time.

Except for 2003, the Vikings have played at least one Monday night game every season since 1987, but those teams boasted considerably more offensive star power than the current edition.

The Vikings played three prime-time games last season: on Monday, Sunday and Thursday.

I picked 2.

I'll bet GB will get more than their share though. Every year that Favre contimplates retirement like it will be his last year, they put him on prime time thinking it will be their last opportunity to do so.

Despite having a 4-12 record in 2005, in 2006 GB played in 2 Monday night games, 2 Sunday night games & also 1 Thursday night game against us.

5 times! Count them! 5!

Don't forget, Monday night is the new Sunday night.

I predict one, maybe two Monday night games.
Probably against the Packers in Lambeau.

The reason for 5? .... 5 is pronounced 'Favre'.

I said two, but I will be shocked if it is that many.. I doubt I will see many Viking games at all next season.. Its a shame for us out of state fans..

Being in WI you should see your share of games. In recent years they have at least tried to have the Vikings play at a different tim than GB.

Where I'm located, they show both the games then & if I recall, you are somewhere near Eau Claire so that should be true for you also.

Also, the more prime-time games Lord Favre gets, means the more Vikings games you should see on Sunday.

I picked 1, but it will be probably taken away in result of flex scheduling.

We will make at least 2 prime-time games, not because of our team, but because of who we play.

We have both a Superbowl team & Favre in our division. That's a potential for two right there.

NodakPaul

I think we will have 1 game that is prime time, and it will be against the Bears.
I think the NFL tries to get at least one prime time game for every team, and Goodell seems to be hung up on making sure the schedule is fair.

Personally I would be just fine if we didn't get any prime time games this year.
If they are at home it is a pain in the ass for me to drive all the way back to Fargo after the game gets out at 11 pm.
If they are away, then there will be that much more pressure on our QB to perform (whoever that ends up being).

What do the Vikings do from week 2 thru week 17?

If they wind up surprising everyone by winning games early on, then the flex scheduling may actually help towards the end of the season.

I think the Vikings have traditionally pulled ratings which are on the big side of the equation - although, a lot of that has to do with big names they've had, stretching back to Tark and Foreman and White, Rashad, Kramer, Carter, Moss, Smith, etc.

Anywhoo - I think they're good for 1 (which is how I voted) probably against GB as others have suggested.
They may get 2 in the original schedule.
If so, I expect that to be the road game at Chicago.

Doubt that we will play Green Bay in primetime. We played them in primetime 2 times last two years.

One Sunday night game will be Pakcers v Bears. Guarantee it.

I must say that it is well worth the $250.
Not only do you get to watch all of the Vikes games but you also get to watch every other game being played as well.

I thought it depends on where he is at in WI they may still be in teh Vikes coverage area and so he would have to follow the nfl black out rules. I really don't think we will have to worry about black outs the first 3-4 games but if we see a repeat of last season we will unless someone steps up to the plate.

It does.

If he lives in the Vikings area, he will see both Vikings/Packers games, plus most of the ones when the two play at different times.

Is there anywhere I can look up the coverage area for Vikings games?

Currently, I reside in the South, but I will be starting a new job in... Madison.
I know, I know.
I was wondering if the Vikings games are covered there.
If not, I'll be getting NFL Ticket, unless someone would be kind enough to let me know how to get them online...

Oh, and I think we'll get at least one primetime game with the Bears and possibly one more with the Packers or Chargers...

As offensively challenged as the Vikings will be with our elite receiving corp with no QB to get them the ball, two would be lucky.
We will find out within the hour when they release the schedules at noon today.

Unfortunatley, I do not feel like we will win six ball games this year.

I know exactly how you feel Viking friend. have to numb the pain somehow.
We always have a tradition on big games.
We used to take a shot of purple pucker mixed with Vodka everytime the vikings scored.
The last game against the Pack last year, that was the plan.
That did not last two long, as we did not score many points, soon we were taking shots for any positive play the Vikes made.
It did not matter if it was only a gain of a yard.
We had a great time.

Well, now that I see it in print....this is clearly exciting!
Just imagine if Chilly can guide each one of these studs into doubling last years output.... The firepower is back!
Just imagine...knowing before the season starts, that your recievers may account for as many as 12 touchdowns!
Wow..... I'm excited!
;D

In all seriousness....as long as I see the Vikes reloading this team intelligently and with a purpose.....I am ok with it.
We finally have an owner that SAYS he will spend any amount to bring a title to Minnesota.....
That is reason enough to remain optimistic for a few lean years!

I told you GB would get more than their share of prime-time games.

How does an 8-8 team get 4 prime-time slots?

How is it the Cowturds deserve 7 with a 9-7 record & Philly, who won that division only gets 3?

There's got to be palms getting greased somewhere.
