I don't get how the linebackers and secondary both get a B grade. It's pretty obvious that one is playing better than the other. At the very least, either the linebackers are a B+/A- or the secondary is a B-/C+ (thanks in large part to the weakest link. You know who you are).

I think I'd go B+ LB and B- Secondary, but that's just me.

I had read this article earlier and totally agree with it. The defense has been the best surprise this season. Tomlin had done a truly GREAT job.
I diagree with the "Special Team" ratings. I would give them a D-. And even though it's not listed in the article, our offense overall get a D in my estimation.

I disagree with the grades. Secondary should be c-
Luckily Sharper and Winfield can tackle.

Coaching, with just Tomlin should be b+

Special teams D-
Coverage stinks...our returns stink, and Kluwe Stinks

Maybe that injury Kluwe had last year affected his play (or maybe he took it to easy in the off-season and/or lost his touch, who knows)

Actually, Kluwe is 4th best in the NFC in punts inside the 40 and that one 9 punt because of the wind in Buffalo is hurting his average more than anything.
He is comming off an injury and adjusting to a new style with a bad special teams coach to help him a long the way.
Kluwe is the man he's just had a bad week and a bad punt.

Maybe you shouldn't judge a guy based on 2 or 3 games but perhaps a full season.
To say Kluwe stinks after the year he had in '05 and all the factors working against him this year is stupid.
Did you see the 50-yard-side-roll-out-inside-the-one punt he had against Detorit?
The guy is awesome and everyone has a few down weeks so before you go off talking about how someone stinks maybe you make sure your rational for it doesn't stink.

Vikeman, CC the best only comes on here to bad mouth the Vikes and I think he is a Packer fan that is pretending to be a Viking fan, you would be better off to ignore his posts because they aren't worth reading or responding too.

Kluwe is a good punter and an asset.
If I picked out a bad day at work where you screwed up once, can I say you stink balls and fire you?

Seriously, some people's logic astound me.
"Oh, look at that one punt.
He sucks!
Yeeeeee!!!"

Well, I would have to say that Kluwe has indeed looked horrible, and they should've kept Torp (which is what I was hoping for in the offseason, even though I knew it wouldn't happen).

I'd agree with the D Line being an A.
Almost an A+ if you factor in the fact that a starter went down and a rookie stepped up.

LBs a B, I'd go with B+ probably.
They're pretty good, and I just wish my boy Greenway was able to play.
Next year hopefully.

DBs a B, I don't think so.
I'd rate Winfield lower than I would've last year, Smoot lower than last year too, with Sharper and Smith both lookin pretty good.
B- for them, and that's being kind.

Coaching, I'd have to go with a C+.
I'd give the D coaches a B+, and the O coaches a D.

ST would get an F from me, they're lucky not to get a ZERO.
If not for Longwell kicking good, they would get a Big Fat ZERO!
Punter looks like crap, KR and PR are both subpar as well.

They haven't surpassed my expectations.
The LBs are playing a bit better than expected (I expected Leber and Greenway to make them good, but figured MLB would be a weakness).
DBs are playing much worse than I expected, cause I thought Winfield would do better, and Smoot would do much better this year....safeties are playing fine.
DL isn't quite as dominating as I expected, but still very good.
I was expecting a top 10 defense, hoping for top 5....so far they're doing it.
