Two ignore button questions:

1. How does the ignore button work once you put someone on it?
Do you not see any of their posts or responses?
Does it block their PMs?

2.
Why can't we ignore ourself?

I haven't ignored anybody yet, but I am about to ignore you Prophet (just for testing purposes), so post a response on this thread in about 15 minutes and send me a PM me at the same time to test it out.

So far Prophet.

Your post that started the thread says "this user is currently ignored" and I can't see what you wrote in that post.

Prophet if you tried to send me a PM I have not received one.

Having you ignored for only a few minutes is disconcerting when I go to other posts I see that you posted Prophet but can't read what you posted, so it feels like I am missing a big part of the conversation.

;D, no, someone had the nerve to disturb my posting.
So, it appears you can see that someone posted and who it was but can't ready what they posted.
Sounds good.
I probably will never ignore anyone because I would be too curious....with the possible exception of ignoring myself.

Heck, Singer is posting WAY MORE than me lately!!!
My output has dropped dramatically lately.
Of course, that is mainly because I have a ton of work to do lately and don't have the energy to make up new threads!

BUT when this case cools down again and I finish this phase of my home remodel...LOOK OUT!!!

It would be weird to open a thread that an ignored person started & only see replies.

Especially if you were the 1st person to look at it & there was nothing there.

4. If the person you ignore falls down in the woods, does he make a sound?

Prophet can not be "ignored". For those who "ignored" him, he just came back as Acumen. If you "ignore" Acumen, he'll just come back as someone else.

I was going to have the most annoying people in my life join the site so I could just push a button to ignore them.
It's easier than real life, now that option is no longer available.
Glad that was just in the planning phase.

Not when you sit on a pedestal on top of a mountain and people struggle to the top asking for a morsel of advice.
The best I can do is kick them in the face when they're winded and have reached the top and hope they don't have enough energy to repeat the ascent.

The BEST you could do would be to dispense one piece of golden advice to all of those who successfully complete the climb and still have the energy to give you a taint wash.

Then you kick them off.

I do that on special occasions.
Most of the time I'm annoyed with them just watching them struggle getting to the top so by the time they open their piehole I just go for the kick and give them advice if they have enough fortitude to make a second ascent.
