You should consider taking a remedial math course.

10-12?
13-5?

I believe he meant it to be 13-15.

He's only refering to the number of wins & not the win-lose record.

It threw me for a loop also.

i bet we pull of a 12 win season.. it might not be the pretty wins we are used to with 30 odd points.. but i'm sure we'll have more 14-21 point games.. and our D will show up stronger then most realize!!

12 - 4 @ best

9 - 7 @ worst

So, what you're saying is that I'm the idiot?
I can deal with that.
I guess when I see a thread like this for the 143rd time in a month it throws me off.

It's only been 142. I don't understand why people need to create the same type of "How are the Vikings gonna do" record threads over & over again.

Kinda reminds me of a movie I've seen. How about you Prophet?

I just watched that movie again with my kids.
Funny stuff.
Sometimes it's not all that funny though when you are trapped in it, like those two losers in the movies that were drinking beer with Bill in the bowling alley
:o.

A long football journey begins (http://www.startribune.com/510/story/661797.html)

Last update: September 07, 2006 – 5:54 PM

A new era of Vikings football begins Monday at Washington. How will this season turn out for the Vikings? The Star Tribune wonders ...
SEPT. 11 • AT WASHINGTON

6 p.m. • ESPN/Ch. 29 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

RB Clinton Portis doesn't play ... and QB Mark Brunell does.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Redskins defensive coordinator Gregg Williams shows he was worth the raise he got when the Vikings inquired about interviewing him.

SEPT. 17 • CAROLINA

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

They don't let Panthers WR Steve Smith Ø anywhere near CB Fred Smoot.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Carolina DE Julius Peppers smoots Vikings RT Marcus Johnson for five sacks.

SEPT. 24 • CHICAGO

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

They've been practicing against the "Tampa-2" defense all summer long.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

So have the Bears.

OCT. 1 • AT BUFFALO

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

The Bills might be the NFL's worst team.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

No team, Bills or otherwise, has finished 0-16.

OCT. 8 • DETROIT

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

The Lions haven't won at the Metrodome since 1997.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

All good things must come to an end.

OCT. 15 • BYE

PURPLE GO TO LIBRARY BECAUSE

Players fear the wrath of Zygi Wilf.

PURPLE GO BOATING BECAUSE

Strippers!

OCT. 22 • AT SEATTLE

3:15 p.m. • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

Vikings LG Steve Hutchinson sets an NFL record with 37 pancake blocks in his revenge game.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Seattle WR Nate Burleson catches the winning touchdown pass, jumping over three defensive backs, with 3 seconds left.

OCT. 30 • NEW ENGLAND

7:30 p.m. • ESPN • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

They stop giving interviews, close all practices and surprise the secretive Patriots with a run-and-shoot offense.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

The Patriots stop giving interviews, close all practices, surprise the secretive Vikings with a 10-man defensive line AND figure out a way to legally use 12 wide receivers on one play.

NOV. 5

AT SAN FRANCISCO

3:15 p.m. • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

They won't have to worry about the mucky field at Monster Park negating their speed.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Jerry Rice comes out of retirement and uses his dance moves to get open for the winning touchdown.

NOV. 12 • GREEN BAY

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

They bring back Paul Edinger for another 56-yard game-winner.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Edinger isn't available because he's kicking for the Packers.

NOV. 19 • AT MIAMI

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

Miami QB Daunte Culpepper gets the yips, fumbling seven times after finally acknowledging in interviews that his hands are too small.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Culpepper shoulder-bumps Vikings coach Brad Childress before the game, leaving only 22 coaches to run the team.

NOV. 26 • ARIZONA

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

Arizona falls off the high road while trying to keep its hands on the plow in this crazy National Football League.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart combine to throw for 463 yards in the Cardinals' quarterback-friendly system.

DEC. 3 • AT CHICAGO

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

Chi-town isn't as tough of a tough-guy town as once thought.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

It's very difficult in this league to win on the road in December.

DEC. 10 • AT DETROIT

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

They're still smarting from the beatings Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz used to put on them in St. Louis.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Martz convinces Anthony Bass, Wasswa Serwanga, Robert Tate and Cris Dishman to play a one-day gig in the Vikings secondary.

DEC. 17 • N.Y. JETS

Noon • Ch. 4 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

Jets coach Eric Mangini, doing his best to emulate Belichick, refuses to tell the charter pilot where to land. The Jets miss kickoff after landing in Bemidji.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

The Vikings, anticipating such skulduggery but missing on the exact location, secretly send their team bus to St. Cloud.

DEC. 21 • AT GREEN BAY

7 p.m. • NFL/Ch. 5 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

They want nothing more than to spoil Brett Favre's final game at Lambeau Field.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Favre, in typical fashion, throws for 478 yards and seven touchdowns.

DEC. 31 • ST. LOUIS

Noon • Ch. 9 • 1130-AM

PURPLE WIN BECAUSE

Rams coach Scott Linehan calls for a triple-reverse option pass that Smoot intercepts to win the game, sealing his NFL Comeback Player of the Year trophy.

PURPLE LOSE BECAUSE

Linehan benches QB Marc Bulger and inserts Gus Frerotte. The magic begins.

i think its a reasonable thought to go 10-6 our toughest stretch is the first 3 games if we can manage to win at leats 1 or two of those then i think we can go 10-6

It's supposed to say 13-15. I wish he'd fix that.

The numbers he has listed is for number of wins only, not wins-losses. I mentioned that on page 1.

He's playing mind games with us . . .
:o

His SUBJECT is "Vikings RECORD this year", but after actually reading his poll . . . you're right, it does say WINS.
:-*

Trick question, but we still already had a thread about this before. :P

Maybe its time for a new one with all the changes.
:D

(P.S. you're assuming I read the entire thread . . . not!)

Who is that face under your name?! Stalin? The guy gives me the creeps. (A little off topic, I know, but I had to ask.)
