View Full Version : K Cambell Underrated?

What do u guys think? In my opinion KCambell is probaby the most underrated Wide Reciever in the NFL along with Jerry Porter. I think even without Moss he would be producing what he is.

Also could you guys checkout my brand new Timberwolves site? http://www.twolvesden.com - Ive been trying to contact the webmaster to put me in the Definitive Sports Network, as I used to be in with another site. but anyways check it out and sign up! SKOL Vikes! Howl Wolves!

I dont know about underrated, but definitely underestimated. Thats why he averaged the most yards per catch last year, and burned Ds. I guess you could say that is being underrated..

Campbell is an underrated reciever. The most underrated in the NFL? I'm not sure about that, also I don't think he could be as effective without Moss at his side. He is still young and extremely quick, let's see how he progresses this year.

On a different subject, What's up with your Raider logo TZone. Are you a fan of both, if so who's your favorite?

He needs a nick name. Kelly "Touch Down" Campbell.

"All Kelly seems to do is catch TD's", did i just say that?

Kelly is great to throw in the game and just go deep. I am not sure if he is well-rounded enough to ever be a #2 WR, and that is why he is underrated. Still he fills a role, and fills it well. It is nice to have that depth of talent at WR for a change.

KC is one quick mofo, a talent that is being wasted as a 1 to 2 play a game guy. I think Tice should use him more in any position possible where speed rules over braun, ie: punt returner, kick returner, or long shot, being as fast as he is, convert to DB?? I dunno, but he needs to be in game regardless of Tice's worry that he'll wear down because of being too small.

 KC

I've been telling people this since the beginning of last season. Kelly Campbell is damn good. He is waaaay underrated. He's got great hands and he is damn fast too. I'm impressed by what he does almost every game.

i think he is used perfectly.. perhaps a few more plays a game, but he is best when he catches the 70 yd td out of no where and teams are thinkin what the hell just happened

I love Kelly Campbell, and I think we play him perfectly... if we played him as an every down WR he would end up getting hurt... beautiful catch he made sunday!

I already have the perfect nickname for Campbell, "MiniMoss," I've been calling him that since last year, it fits him well. :)

Bring him in in the 4th quarter with the third or fourth DB put on him. He'll burn the guy deep everytime with fresh legs to the dbs tired legs!!

Or in the first quarter, when all anyone can think of is "RANDY MOSS!!!". But the fourth quarter is even better.

He's a "home-run hitter" that's for sure. If it weren't for his size (and his general inabilty to get off the line of scimmage), he'd probably be an even better every-down receiver. :) I'd like to see how good he is returning kicks. He's kinda small for that though...but tough!

That catch was the :bom: ...

I think he's definately underrated, not only in the MN media but nationally as well. I know he dropped a couple passes last season but also makes some big game breaking catches. I thought he should have been used more last year and was worried that he would be under used this year as well with the addition of Robinson. He still may be if Robinson gets healthy but I think it would be a shame to let Campbell go to waste. He's been begging to punt and kick returns and I think he should be given a shot at punt returns at least. Tice thinks he's too small but I really think he should get a shot.

Hes somewhat underated probably somewhat as he does dissapear in some games mostly the road games for some reason and usually doesnt get any catch or will get 2 catches for 12 or something. He needs to be catching more balls and more tds for his ratings to go higher in which i think will go higher this year as we can spread the ball well and go deep effectively.

Does anyone remember the last time we throw a couple of deep balls during a road game??? That could be addressed.

Yeah i would say he is underrated and would probably be a starting WR in a lot of teams. It is great the Vikings have this sort of talent for their squad depth and competition for places is a good thing.

for one me and tnt took my daughter to meet him. he is a cool guy, and i do think he is underrated. he should get more playing time, look at his speed.

I agree fully, Keenan Howry is listed as the smallest on the team in an article I read recently, yet he's a returner,... you can't teach raw speed, give him a chance Tice :thumbright:
