Anyone know what the TV situation is for the Vikings/Steelers upcoming game?
I doubt it will be on network TV (other than in the Twin Cities area).
So I assume NFL Network will play it at some point, I was just wondering if anyone knew when that would be exactly?

Thanks.

Yeah. Anyone outside MPLS is screwed. We'll get to see the merry-go-round the NFL network has, but other than that, it's not broadcast.( On Directv anyway) Since the tickets for pre-season cot as much as regular season, shouldn't we get the games on NFL Sunday Ticket? Am I the only one who thinks this(I doubt it)?

Thanks for all the feedback, I just managed to find it on NFL.com as well.
I just wanted to get the TiVo set tonight since I am leaving for the weekend.
Heading to PA (unfortunately for a funeral, and unfortunately nowhere near Pittsburgh).

By the way anyone in Philly area (or more specifically Reading area) know if the Steelers game (or should I say the Vikings game) will be televised on local TV live on Saturday?

That would be very cool if I could watch it live since I am up there.

i'm not sure what i'd do without the nfl network.

Will you use ear plugs?

I am picturing that guy on the Slingbox commercial watching during a funeral and suddenly blurting out "He's a bum!" and ""What a jerk!".

That could be me.

...I wonder if they have WiFi at the church?

Sioux Falls, SD ABC affiliate KSFY TV is picking up KSTP's feed of the game, and will carry it, so if you live in SW Minnesota or Easter SD, you'll see the game live.

The game is on WTAJ in Johnstown, which is a CBS station. So maybe its on other CBS stations, check your local listings.

Channel 5 in the Twin Cities, they have the Viking's TV rights in Preseason unless it is a nationally televised game.

I checked the listings for WTAJ and they don't have the game listed. But after the report on BR's 'Boo Boo' thumb they said they were showing the game.?? ??? ???

Doesn't matter to me, I have the StreamTVnow. ;D

According to Direct TV, the game will be shown live on FSPI (I think that stands for "Fox Sports Pittsburgh) Channel 628 at 8 p.m. Saturday night.
If you have direct TV, yoou can buy all the Fox Sports channels for $12 per month and you only need to purchase them for one month. Call Direct TV though and make sure it won't be blacked out in your area.

It's on NFL Netowrk at 8 o'clock on Sunday night. I'm recording it so I can watch it later because my step dad watches TV at 8 so I'll start watching it at 10 and fast forward through all the commercials and it might be halftime when I start watching it so I'm not gonna peek at the gamecast or anything.

Does that work during the regular season?
I wish the NFL had something like MLB has for watching games over the internet!

Here's a thread on it: http://www.purplepride.org/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=72&topic=25194.0
That's how I found out about it.
It costs about $4/mo and there's a section with a calendar that shows what is being covered.
There are something like 24 channels.
Their priority is to cover the NFL.
If you register on the site you can read all about it.
I'm a new subscriber, but have already watched a bunch of games and love it.

You have no idea how excited I am right now about this!!
It's not in our budget to get DirecTV with the Sunday ticket so you just saved me tons of money from having to go to a sports bar every Sunday!!

Seriously though I thought I wouldn't be able to watch the game until you mentioned that channel.
Luckily it's not blocked out on me.
