They released Orner and kept Elling. The coaches better hope they never need to win a game with a last minute kick.

No way!!! Orner was good! He made FGs from a further distance at training camp than Elling could. I liked that kid much more than Elling. They shoulda done something more with Brock too. Send him to NFL europe or something. With more experience he could be one helluva tackle.

As good as Orner may be Tice indicated that he won't go with a rookie kicker again, so I'd look to the Vikes picking up a vet kicker when the cuts start.

As for Brock I guess we need to resign him to the practice squad first before anything else. If that happens then I see him coming to Europe next year to play there, learn more and get actual game experience. Then he can come back to TC and have a more realistic chance of making the roster.

I did read an article where Tice said that he be honored if Lesnar represented the Vikings in NFL Europe next Spring. We'll see what happens.

Sorry, I think it's a dumb move to cut someone who has all that ability and all that work ethic and all that desire.

They parted on great terms from the sounds of things. It was reported that Lesnar gave Mike Tice a hug and thanked him for the opportunity as that is all he wanted was the opportunity to give football a try. It sounds if all goes well they are seriously thinking about signing Lesnar to the practice squad and sending him to NFL Europe next year as they think with some more actual playing experience that Brock will be a good player.
