or...yet another question about tickets.

Here's my situation: I've been trying to confirm purchase of tickets for a vikings game so that I can tell my dad on father's day that he's going to go see the Vikes play.

I don't know anyone with access to tickets, so I've been working with online vendors and others who post on craig's list. I feel like the deals are kind of shady, but I don't have too many alternative options at this point.

There are a several seats that I am interested in buying, but I know nothing about the view of the field from the seats. So, I'm calling on the metrodome veterans here at PP.O to let me know whether the following seats would have a decent view of the field:

Section 208 row 25
Section 204 row 21
Section 203 row 17
Section 229 row 27

I'd also welcome any other advice folks here may have for buying metrodome tickets to see the Vikes play.

Also, if anyone has experience buying from online vendors/brokers I'd be interested to know about it. I am, for instance, concerned about whether I can expect to have the 4 tickets I buy to be seated together.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Furthermore, the seats in section 229, row 27 you specifically want to ask the seller if they are "Limited View" ($9.99) seats.

The cement pillars are in row 27 & you might be sitting smack dab next to one. However in that row, you should be alright by just leaning forward to look around the pillar if you have to.

Rows 28 thru 31 you definitely want to ask the question.

Out of the seats you have listed, I'd recommend section 208, row 25 ($67)for sideline seats, section 203 or 204 ($38) for corner seats.

Still looking for tickets, I hope to purchase 4 today. I'm interested in any home game during sept or oct.

the best prices I have been able to find are:

Section 208 row 25 - $75
Section 204 row 21 - $60
Section 203 row 17 - $65
Section 229 row 27 - $49

from vikings.com: "A very limited number of single-game tickets for 2006 Vikings home games will go on sale mid July."

I dont want to leave this gift to chance. So, I'm willing to pay more now for the assurances of getting a ticket later. My dad nearly died last october to a heart attack and complications with his treatment for it. This father's day has a sense of urgency for me and I want to make it a speacial one.
