Why is a WR wearing #11?

psh.. dont you know its the cool thing to wear the wrong number..

i saw a kicker with a 99.. well, not really

but the WRs think they're cool with the numbers 10-20..

i dont like it.. IMO they can just stick with the higher numbers.. but they're just numbers, doesnt matter in the end i suppose

Come end of preseaon those two players probably won't be with us so they will be unoccupied again.

A lot of times numbers of popular players go quickly, if they leave the team on a bad note. Eventually your going to run out of numbers if you retire all of them and 01 or 100 just looks stupid.

IMO no one should be able to wear 84, that number should be retired for him dominating the league while with us. But i guess he didnt play most of his career yet and hes on another team

Wow its going to be so weird seeing some scrub wide receiver bearing #11.

Just very hard to imagine. Ditto with 84.

By the Numbers?

By: Viking Update Staff
Date: Jun 3, 2006

The eyebrows were raised Friday at the media-friendly practice as part of the Vikings' OTA (Organized Team Activities). A pair of numbers once thought sacred by Vikings fans were being donned by a couple of players that have no familiarity to those same fans. But, odds are that the mountain being built is, in actuality, a mole hill.
