Are we going to leave Koren on Kick returning. It seems to me as though it is more risk to injure your number one receiver.

I would doubt that we will. Several of the undrafted Free Agent signings may be able to be good returners.

mewelde could do both.

We could go back to T-Will returning kicks as well.

I think Williamson should develope into our second option. I do not want either of my receivers to get unneccesarily hurt if someone else can do it.

well...

i guess i'll agree here..

at first i thought, pro-bowl KR, why not leave him...

but you've convinced me- we've got other people that can do it

Can't have your #1 receiver returning kicks.

Ryan Hoag is a flyer - put him back there to return kickoffs.

i say me-mo, i like the idea of hoag, but do you really think he'll make the squad?

It would be nice to get a shifty quick veteran running back, back there returning kicks like back in the David Palmer days. I don't think moore has great vision when he return kicks, same with williamson. They just seemed to run straight and hope for the best.

It will be Charles Gordon, 95%. He was the steal of UDFA, he had 7 picks as a sophomore, I believe, and was included in my 2006 3-round mock. He is also a great returner, and was a 2005-06 preseason All-American by Athlon Sports.

If Gordon makes the team, which noone knows at this point, that would most likely be his role. For now I'll stick with someone on the roster and say MeMo.

Krob rules as a KR, like dante hall. hows he going to get hurt when scores all the time?

I think Travis Taylor would fit in nicely as our KR.. What do you all think?

Warp

I yeah Taylor could do it, but i say its gonna be either Memo,Williamson, or an Undrafted FA.

First I hope C Gordon makes the team, and if he does, give him a shot.

Maybe Faison or a back up WR.

Don't know how to make a Vikings one. So i just took this from an online search. Culpeppers my favorite player, but he doesn't come ahead of the team. I'm just not taletned enough to make a vikings one.

Whoever does kick returns has to have good open field vision. And not the same type of vision it takes to be a running back or a wide reciever getting yards after the catch. Koren robinson has that vision. I think that going with a proven college returner would be a great move if we can afford the roster spot. Afterall kick returns are just 11 guys running at 11 guys full speed.

Williamson or Taylor would be a good choice.

That will all be sorted out in training camp...just rest assured that IF WE HAVE TO, we can always fall back on using our PRO BOWL kick returner back there if need be!!!

PurplePridesSavior

Yea I'm not too worried about Koren Robinson getting hurt on kick returns. Its probably more risky to send him over the middle a couple times a game then give 4 or 5 kick off returns.

I'm always an advocate of just putting the fastest backup we have back there. It is usually a bad call because they have no vision but I don't like starters returning kicks.

Go to Taurean Henderson, RB Texas Tech. This guy has great hands, agility, accleration, and vision. Not that 4.4 type guy but he has the ability to make people miss, does real well in traffic. He would be a great kick returner.

Gordon is a returner to with everything u look for, it will be good battle for the job.

Yeah i agree, lets put Taurean Henderson back there. I think he would be a perfect fit, him and gordon should battle to be starting KR imo.

Let's wait and see in training camp...it will all be worked out there! I would personally like to see someone else besides Koren step up...that way we could always have him in reserve...or if we need a BIG play!

Maybe you should watch more games, or pay closer attention.

K-Rob had 7 returns for over 40 yards, but only 1 for a TD But he was very close a number of times to breaking it all the way. So how could he have only 1 good run?

Dante Hall 2005 Kickoff returns stats

24 yard average
65 attempts
1560 yards
1 TD
6 over 40 yards

K-Rob 2005 Kickoff return stats

26 yard average
47 attempts
1221 yards
1 TD
7 over 40 yards (had only 72% of the chances that Hall had)

If Koren wants to continue returning kicks let him.

Korem. Why would you want anyone else?
Much more dangerous as a receiver then a KR

Taurean Henderson isent even going to make the team we dont need another RB the only people that are going to make the team are Hank Baskett and Charles Gordon

we should get marcus vick

I agree Krob is the best guy we have on the team for KR, but it would hurt to lose a starter because he was returning kicks. Then again he did make to pro bowl for KR so it would be dumb to basically take a pro bowler out of the special teams lineup.

KR will be Krob.
