View Full Version : Vikings sign some outstanding undrafted free agents!!!

I'm very excited about some of these guys. Taurean Henderson from Texas Tech is being compared to Brian Westbrook, and since Childress came from Philly I'm sure he's thinking the same thing. Charles Gordon from Kansas was predicted by some to be a 2nd round prospect at CB, and he could well turn into a return man for the Vikes this season. Baskett from New Mexico could be an eventual replacement for Marcus Robinson. He has good speed and size, just needs to work on the fine points. Torp could well be the Vikings punter this season if Kluwe isn't sufficiently recovered, and apparently really booms 'em. Hoyte doesn't have the "measuables", but apparently has all the intangibles and is an outstanding player. I wouldn't be surprised a bit to see four or five of these undrafted guys make the squad this season.

I would have to think that one of them would be lucky to make the practice squad, and it would likely be the inside linebacker from the U.

Thinking of starting a new thread? (http://www.purplepride.org/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=21978)

There is a thread in the Offseason Forum about the undrafted free agents. Feel free to add to that thread. Vikings sign undrafted free agents (http://www.purplepride.org/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=22100)
