View Full Version : Thinking of starting a new thread?

Do you have a unique take or something that has not been posted or touched upon yet?
Well by all means start a new thread!

But wait...are you sure you know where to put it?

There is an easy way to find out.
On the Forum Index (http://www.purplepride.org/index.php?name=Forums) page there is a list of all the forums in which you can out your thread.
Directly underneath the title of the forum is a description of what content belongs in that particular thread (quite ingenious).

Here is a list of the forums and the description of each:

Vikings Fan Forum
General discussion on the Vikes.

Offseason 2006/Draft/FA
Offseason moves and grooves laid out here. Got a
mock draft? Light it up here and see if you get lit up!

General NFL Discussion

Free Beer!
Got your attention? New members, make your first post
here and introduce yourself. You never know when a member
will buy you a beer, or a least salute the newcomer with a
virtual beer! SKOL, and Welcome!

Fantasy Football Talk

Classifieds
List items for sale here, or post your wants! Back online
to make swapping Vikings goods easier than ever!

The Clubhouse
Hang out here to talk about things other than the Vikes & football.

Two Beer Minimum
Welcome to the home of the lost threads, back room
discussions and dance floor flirting. Alert: Relaxed
rules here. You are on your own!

Help!!
Got questions? Not sure how to make an avatar or link
up your signature? Post your question here or
**read the FAQS** posted for your answer!
Want a SIG? Request it here!!

Suggestion Box
Suggestions for us or general blather.

Trash the Pack
Come here to go toe-to-toe with your favorite packer foes.

Stupid Packer Tricks
Stupid Emails We get.

Weekly Opponent Talk
Got something to say to Vikes fans? Have a message
for our opponents this week, loyal PP.O fans? Put it here!

**If you post a thread and you notice the words "moved" it was either one of two things:
1.
Thread was in the wrong forum.
2.
It was merged with the thread that is already discussing your topic.

If you ever have a chance to visit another forum, you will notice that the majority of these forums are a complete mess.
We try to keep things organized for your (the members) benefit and we ask that you give us a hand.

Thanks.

(After awhile, I will merge this with the How to post an article (http://www.purplepride.org/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=19212) thread)

I would like to point out to the true noobs (not just the guys who went through an account change like me for the fun of it) that the Vikings Fan Forum is where most of the action happens.
You can see a list of who is viewing the boards, and I would recommend posting a new post on the board that seems to have the most viewers, if you can't decide between to boards. This way, you get the most replys and the most respect.

So what was your former name?

If two boards exist on the same topic, the post belongs in the thread that was started first, regardless of the number of posts.

The thread started 2nd is destined to have a picture of Bill Murray posted & will either be locked or merged.

Using that idealology, if I simply posted my posts in a thread that has the most viewers or replies, then all future Vikings articles
would be appearing in the "Cheer Up Vikings Fans" thread.
;)

Keep posts & threads where they belong. In the proper forum & thread.

Amazing, a guy with 10 posts comes on and tells us how it should be done.

He says he's not a noob, but had an account change for fun.
He is either:

A) a respected member starting out with a new account
B) a non-respected member trying to start over again
C) a noob trying to sound important
D) an asshat
E) A combination of the above.

Just seems a bit strange to me.

Nope put it where it belongs. If you can't decide then ask your parents where it should go.

Well for Future refrences I am leaning to if i start a thread have it be about what its Titled also I thought maybe it would help me getting out there in P.P.O Land. So i mean no disrespect to anyone who came before which is a whole bunch of people.
I Don't see myself throwing out commands or instructions on how something should be done. AFTERALL I just found the arcade last week.... I would have to be pretty ballsy to tell those with more sense about this site what to do .

hopefully this wont effect my postings on the lastest talk threads
afterall its mainly about OUR VIKINGS

RESPECTFULLY
