View Full Version : Koren Officially Changing back to 81 (via Vikings.com)

I was looking through the Vikings hidden files on the site (where the sneak peek jerseys were found), and I found the Koren jersey. It has him back to number 81. This was rumoured as untrue, but now that its on the official site its obviously True.

Yeah its possible, but I'd like to see the Vikings actual roster update or a pic of him wearing # 81 to be certain

Well, let's look at NFL.com, that's an official site.

Brian Waters, pro-bowl OG of the Chiefs, has moved back to TE, the position he played in college.

Proof (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/146550)

Damon Huard, the Chiefs back-up QB, has moved to DE. Seems undersized.

Grady Jackson (ex-Packers fat-man with no talent) has also moved to DE. Hmm, he must be thinking of signing, not with a 3-4 team, but with a 2-5 team, because he is one BIG DE.

Just because you say you have proof doesn't make it official. (http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/3680)

so, It's hard to think that the switch to 81 is official. It's really hard to believe when he chose 18 as a sign for him turning his life around (get it, 18 to 81), and he just sobered up and became a pro-bowl KR/#1 receiver (for the future super bowl champs). If the move is true, I hope he doesn't go back to boozing.

Wow, long post.

81 would suck on K-rob. I prefer 18.

^^^ I totally agree with ya.

BREAKING NEWS: THIS JUST IN

James Kilian, former Tulsa star and current Kansas City Chief, has officially switched to jersey number 0. This is a very interesting change. In an exclusive interview with head coach Herm Edwards, he told viks_fan21 this, "Despite this controversial number change, Trent [Green] is still our starting QB, and don't expect to see any more of Kilian."

Brett Favre, quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, being the generous, team player he is, has given up his #4 number to Aaron Rodgers.

Those aren't the new jerseys, right? God, I hope not. They look like WNBA warmup jackets . . . yuk! Too much going on.

Nice. ON a more serious note though, Culpepper's moving back to #8. I'm sure we've all heard it but it will just look so weird. It makes since, since #11 was based on his draft status, but still. This will make my Culpepper jersey (only a year old) outdated in 3 ways; he's no longer on the team, he's no longer #11, and we no longer have that style of uniform.

I like his number 18. I like the teen numbers on wide outs, I think there pretty sweet. Didn't Troy get his number changed to 82 now?

yep, which is too bad since 19 looked awesome. Although now i'll be able to tell between him and k-rob.

Troy is 82 which was his college number and Koren is 81 now since nate is gone. i like the typical 80's numbers on wideouts.

In the same strain, Troy's mojo could have been flowing more, so I agree with the number switch. Now his mojo should reach new heights.

I liked 19.. but with K-Rob, I, too, couldn't tell them apart. In that sense, I'm glad that Troy got number 82. I just hope Koren keeps 18.

Every time I see the number 81 I think A.C. (Anthony Carter).

Exactly right. I had an AC jersey when I was 11, it was my first Vikings jersey (because it was the only one you could get at Sears or JC Penny's or some such).

I may be having a brain fart, but for some reason all I can think of is Joe Sensor when I see an 81 jersey.

CG, aren't you married to him? If not, would you dump your hubby in a heartbeat for him?

Walsh was THE MAN! He's probably my favorite Vikings player of all time...nice guy too! I met him @ the Minneapolis Hilton back in 2000. I miss him...

Anywho...kind of a bummer that K-Rob is changing back. I liked the 18. At least this means Ryan Hoag will get his number back (I hope he makes the team)!

No, I wish I was married to him. I think he's still single. Someone on this site must have some connections. As for the second question.... I cannot answer unless the situation presents itself
