He finished the season with four interceptions in 294 attempts. That was the fewest interceptions among QBs who had more than 224 attempts in the NFL this season. His interception percentage was also the lowest in team history.

Johnson also disclosed that he has been playing with cracked ribs. "You kind of get over that," he said.

Not too suprising since he does have one of the top 20 career passer ratings in NFL history and is the only NFL quuarterback to have had over 60% completion rate for 10 straight years.

Well I guess the cracked ribs would explain the foul ups against the Steelers. Either way that's cool, Hope he does as good or better this year.

I remember reading that back in January when the article was published.

Yes...I knew that...the quote about turnovers being important to winning is especially poignant!

If we would have kept Johnson around all those years we would most likely have super bowl victory already. To bad. Hopefully he gets us to the promise land this year or next.

Did anyone see New Englands owner bash the Vikings for the contract we gave Hutchinson? It's on CNN sports. Listed under the monday morning quarterback posting. He says that anyone giving a 49 Million dollar contract to a quard is just "Lunacy".

Very true...but the man also owns three super bowl rings in four years which has his words double questioning my opinion on if this was a smart move by Childress and company.

Couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic or not. I hope you were...

Yeah, he's a very smart QB, doesn't make stupid mistakes (kinda like another QB we used to have....hmmm)

Sorry guys, but the second choice in the poll is way misleading. Brad Johnson did not connect with 294 passes. He attempted 294 passes. He only connected with 184 passes.

I knew about the record right after he made it. It would be foolish to let him go or trade him as posted in another thread here on PP.O.

Well I also read this in another article in Tampa:

How tough is Johnson? Put it this way: the darnedest discussion I ever had with him was over a report that said he had a fractured vertebrae. Brad didn't think it was important to talk about it.

Wait a minute: The starting quarterback may have a broken back, and that isn't important ?

For the record, Brad played. He never has shown me the X-rays."

So I think he's used to it.

If I remember right he broke that vertabre back when he was with the Vikings his first time around. In a game agains the Pack. I may be wrong on this but I think it's correct.

As far as Kraft goes, Tom Condon is the one that made the poison pill, not the Vikings. I know there have been rumors about the Vikings doing thinking it up but Condon has said he thought of it.I have respect for Kraft since he is the owner of a championship team but let's get things straight before we bash something in the media.

All that matters to me is that as long as he is leading this team that we keep picking up the W's!
