The Las Vegas oddsmakers for the 2005 Super Bowl have the Eagles a 7-2 favorite, the Patriots 4-1 and the Vikings third at 6-1.

I heard they were about 20 - 1 earlier this spring.

I had heard that earlier, also. They had the Packers in the same odds at 15-1.

It all depends what gambling site you go to. Actually, Los, I thought the site that had the Vikings at 6-1 had the Pack at 7-1 along with a few other teams.

I wouldn't be surprised if many sites still had the Vikings at 12-1 to 20-1 to win the Super Bowl.

6-1 is not "great odds" if you are wanting to bet on the Vikings. I'd take them at 15-1 or so. With the Vikings history, I want a good payout to pick them to go all the way.

Now, I'd probably jump at the chance to take the Vikings at 2-1 to win the NFC North (if those odds exist).

EDIT: Just went to BoDog.com (site I have used in past). They have the Vikings at 12-1 to win the SB, Pack at 16-1. Interestingly, however, they have the Pack at 8-1 to win the NFC Championship, and the Vikes at 10-1. Weird...does that mean that bettors feel the Vikes match up better against AFC teams? Oh, and they have the Pack at -105 to win the NFC North, Vikings +135. Must be a lotta Packer fans out there betting their beer money on the Pack.

Slim to none! Just kidding! Halfway through the year, we're doing alright, 5-3 isn't bad and in first place with a chance to extend the lead! I'll take it! GO VIKES!

had the Vikes at 3-2 favorites to win it. That was on Oct. 30th.
Almost through down $50 just for kick and giggles.
Glad I did not.
