Are we doing anything to have someone play safety? I know Offord shows promies but hes coming off an ACL tear and you cant just throw him in to a cover 2. Will Demps sucks and it just seemed like we should be looking at people like Chris Hope or Tank Williams? Any thoughts

Hope>Tank>Huff>Milloy>Bing>Ko Simpson>Offord>Demps

That's the way if I had it how it would go..

Demps doesn't impress me

that is an issue and hopefully we can take care of it or in free agency because offord hasnt proved himself yet as a full time cover two starter

They better get someone, this is now a defensive team. I'm not saying we have a top 15 D, but we are a defensive team

I agree, we are a defensive team as it would appear, to an extent. Consider also that Childress has an offensive bias. I also disagree, we will be a to 15 D, if Tomlin lives up to hi potential and installs the famed Tampa 2 we will dominate on D next year and for years to come.

Too bad we couldnt get Dexter Jackson but we should look in the draft for Cornerback help. We should of picked up Madison, too late

Demps sucks? Yet you want Chris Hope?? Hope is a crappier version of will Demps.

Right now in FA, our best options are Demps and Tank Williams. I actually like Demps and think he is just starting to grow and become a good football player. He had a down year last year and was hurt, so we should be able to get him cheap. Remember we also got Sharper coming off of a down year, where he was injured, and we saw how he bounced back. Demps is a really sure tackler, something Chavous wasn't, but does tend to be behind at times in coverage, which chavous was all the time. I think he is still learning how to read offenses and react quicker, when it comes to coverages.

I think Ryan Clark was the guy to get this offseason for a SS, but he was signed today I believe. I think he is turing into a stud SS.

We also can't forget Offord. He looked absolutely great when he was out there last year. The question with him is, how will he bounce back from the knee injury?

I would love to see us move up in the draft with our extra 2nd and steal Huff, because like I have said a few times already on here, Huff is my favorite player in this entire draft. He can do it all and is gonna be a ballhawking safety in the NFL.

I could care less what his stats are. You don't judge how good safeties are by their stats. He is very stiff at the hips and slow to react. I saw him trailing plays all the times last season. I just don't see much room to gorw in him either. There just seems like so much more growth left in Demps if you ask me.

I knew that wasn't going to happen.

Guys for the last time, FOX DOES NOT PLAY SS, if safety at all, he should be converted to CB where he can play nickle or dime.

Michael Huff is my #1 choice then Dhonte Whitner from the ohio state, great speed size and strength, he's gonna be a good safety.

The way FA is going with LB i'm starting to believe we will draft a LB first, who knows it could be a QB for all i know. With all the offensive signings i really hope we focus on defense in the draft.

I think Devonte Edwards will play a huge roll at CB this year. I also believe Offord and Fox will be fine at safety. Our Secondary should be the least of our worries. We nned to focus on a stud LB and get some chemistry workin'.
