Reading the Minneapolis Star Tribune Sports section this evening, I came across this interesting stat:

Bill Cowher, as Steelers coach, is 97-1-1 in games in which the Steelers led, at some point in the game, by at least 11 points.

That said, we'd better take it to them early Sunday - get 'em down and stomp on them, that's what I say!!!!!!

That's kind of a "duh!" stat, isn't it? I mean an 11 point lead is kind of significant, isn't it? It a 2 score lead. Most teams down by that much DON'T come back to win. It's kind of like saying the Vikes are 12-0 in games in which they score more points than the other team!

They have a simple formula that works. Get the lead, pound the ball on your defense who has to be on the feild forever, and play good Defense.

Control the clock, win the game.

Personally, I like Cowher as a coach regardless of his record in AFC Championship games.

I like Cowher too! It's too bad the site where I post on a regular basis doesn't share the same sentiment. I swear, they are the most negative, critical bastards, although I probably wouldn't post anywhere else. We're looking to play Steeler footbal this Sunday, and we're not afraid to deviate from that plan and get in a shootout if need be.

Cowher looks so funny when he gets mad, and he has the biggest chin I have ever seen. lol

I like the owner too. The Rooney's have always been so humble and very dedicated to the Steelers.

You're one to talk with 'Frankentice' as your coach. Double LOL back at ya!

True. But you gotta admit Cowher does have a huge chin and his "pissed" face is funny! Especially when he is yelling and you can see the spit flying!

I think you'll see that everywere you go. I was on a Bears site yesterday and all they were doing is bad mouting Lovey. We bash Tice, and before him Green. It goes with the territory. I don't think anybody really likes the coach until there's one with a dynasty team.

Yeah, we get a lot of ribbing about 'Coach Chin' and the 'spit factor'. I don't know if I could handle playin' for that guy. The first time he gives me that look I would be bustin' out laughing at his funny a$$. He's one helluva coach, though, and I wouldn't trade him for anybody.

It's been great discussing the upcoming game and exchanging trash talk, I appreciate the fact you haven't banned me from the site. Kudos to you folks, and again, good luch on Sunday. Yous gonna need it!

You are far from being banned.

We welcome fans from other teams for some good talk and insight into your team.

We do not tolerate clowns...refer to Rickjames.

Thanks for coming. And after the game, win or lose, make sure you stop back. Our members have always been really nice to opposing fans after they lost if they were not an asshat.

The stat I want to see, even though they'll all be thrown out come Sunday, is Pittsburgh's record under Cowher in domes. I don't think it's very good, but I could be wrong. I know they're 0-1 this year.

There was a stat brought up when we played the Colts about the Steelers and Dome games...think they've only played in two games in domes in the last five years...will make sure and get back to you....

Thanks man. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but you seem like a good fan, intelligent and nice, are you sure the Steelers are your favorite team?

I think that's a good possibility the Colts are the only dome team in the AFC. The rest are all NFC (Rams, Falcons, Saints, Vikings, Lions), and I believe it's only those 6 in total.

I'm just glad this is at Minnesota. At Pittsburgh, I'd obviously still be pulling for the Vikes, but I wouldn't be very confident, in Minnesota, I'm very confident. It should be a good game.
