One of the local stations (KSTP channel 5) received a tip about 2 Vikings players throwing thrash in a dumpster at a construction type. Channel 5 sent a team to investigate and retrieved 3 bags of garbage from the dumpster.

In the bags of garbage was apparently stuff from the love boats. And they have a on Vikings letter head that has names & phone numbers of women, flights and arrival times, times for the women to be picked up.

In the bags was also other things, and from the just of the interview the have condoms and toys from the party.

KSTP (channel 5 twin cities) has turned this evidence over to the sheriffs department that is conducting the love boat investigation. There is apparently DNA samples from the material found.

KSTP contacted the women that were on the list of names, and has gotten one of them to talk in an interview. The reporter said that the person is very familiar to the vice squad of the city she is from, and she says that she is very well known to the top athletes around the country.

The reporter did not say anything about cameras in the interview I heard, but there was some cameras that had disappeared that belonged to the employees of Al & Alma's boat service.

KSTP is running the story tonight on their 10 O'clock news and a second part on another night.

How stupid are these players why the hell they did not burn this stuff someplace out in the boonies I do not understand.

This is going to get ugle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can they be so stupid and not gotten rid of the evidence more discretely? These guys are not brain surgeons!!!

Wilf said he would discipline the players that were proven to be involved! Know it looks like they might have evidence to prove who they were, it will leave him no options but to probably suspend players!

It makes the whizzinator story obsolete. This season is sure panning out differently than we anticipated. I wonder what the politicians are thinking regarding the new stadium deal? Zygi has sure acquired a lot of headaches in his first year as owner.

KSTP-TV's Stinar got down and dirty for Vikes story

Star Tribune
Last update: November 3, 2005 at 12:13 PM

Dumpster diving reportedly uncovered all kinds of juicy leads for KSTP-TV about the Vikings carnal cruise on Lake Minnetonka, including one regarding a "fascinating . . . porn star."

This morning, KSTP reporter Kristin Stinar was on FM107's "Balanced Breakfast" show, hosted by Margery & Ian Punnett, pumping the sweeps pieces that begin airing tonight. Getting the story required "dirty, a bit disgusting, degrading" news-gathering techniques, she said.

"There are some assignments that just are not pleasant," Stinar melodramatically told the colleagues at the sister station.

And then Stinar got the breathy, verbal striptease going in earnest: "We got a tip, a pretty juicy tip, that a couple of Minnesota Vikings players were dumping garbage in a construction site dumpster. [The tipsters] knew they didn't live there. They pull up in their big flashy vehicles, you know, with the flashy wheels."

The tipsters "recognized both players," said Stinar. She indicated that they will be named in the reports and noted, "The reaction from the Vikings players is interesting.

"It was eight days after the boat party, and you know all the hoopla after that," said Stinar, sounding very gossipy. "They called me and said, 'Hey, just want you to know this seemed a little suspicious, a little odd to us. We didn't check it, out but you might want to.'"

Of the actual dumpster dive, Ian asked Kristin, "Do you do it yourself or is that when you bring in the interns?"

Stinar said it was a team effort and "it wasn't pleasant" but a construction site is better than most dumping grounds.

Margery joked that Kristin probably had to don a haz-mat suit, and Stinar quipped that she burned her clothes afterward.

FINALLY, Stinar allowed, "I will tease you a little," about what was found.

"I found what appears to be remnants of a party; meaning party favors. Partttty thiinggs," Stinar said, with many pauses for effect. "Things you would see at a party." Asked whether noisemakers were among the booty, she said, "All kinds of things, Ian."

I'm guessing Stinar and crew are possibly in possession of the alleged sex toys and DNA.

But Stinar wasn't done yet. "Also in that pile of garbage, there was a list with names. Oh, no, not kidding." Stinar said she assumed the list included the names of women invited to the party "because there were flight times, airlines. Bottom line: We ended up finding one of the women's names matched something that vice investigators were interested in. So we tracked her down."

Kanary Stinar would not say whether she flew to Atlanta or Houston to interview the woman.

"Is she a dancer?" asked Ian.

"Yes," said Stinar.

"Ballet?" asked Ian.

"Uh, no," said Stinar.

"Polka," asked Ian.

"I'm sure she would do that for you if you paid her enough," Stinar said. "Fascinating woman, I must say. You'll find out some about her tonight and some more tomorrow. She is FASCINATING. This is a woman who, just to tease you a little more, is a current porn star."

Stinar described the woman's background as "UNbelievable." and said the things the porn star allegedly was asked to do at the party would not be considered legal in Minnesota but maybe in Las Vegas.

If the report lives up to Stinar's tantalizing morning show appearance, we may be asking ourselves whether these Vikings could really be so unbelievably stupid. The answer: Of course, they're football playas.

And they probably thought they were being super slick by flying in women from elsewhere. Guess they didn't realize that in this post 9.11 world people who get on planes can't fly under stage names like Precious, the one I keep hearing.

C.J. is at 612.332.TIPS or cj@startribune.com. E-mailers, please state a subject -- "Hello" doesn't count. Attachments are not opened, so don't even try. More of her attitude can be seen on FOX 9 Thursday mornings.

Exactly, couldn't have said it any better. And the media will be all over this story anyways because of the fact that there has been no interesting news lately, so this will probably take up about half of the news cast tonight. Like said before, if they "supposedly" have videos or pictures, that is enough to show that they are guilty, which means, that those so-called pictures or videos must not be good enough to prove that they are guilty and who was involved. Its all blown way out of proportion, mostly because its Minnesota, and we dont have any other interesting news.

Being in the news business myself, it sounds like a legit follow up on the story. If she actually has a woman talking about it then it is not good for the Vikings players involved in any way shape or form. The police would be able to back up whether or not she really turned any sort of "evidence" in to them ... chances are most of this ... if not all of it ... is true.
The big question, as Del Rio pointed out, is does it mean crap? I don't think it does. Unless this "porn star" dancer lady mentions specefic names and goes into specefics on illegal acts that may have taken place, then there is not much to add to the story here. We all know there was a boat, dancers, sex and sex toys ... what we do not know for sure is names and who was involved, which this source could reveal, thus adding a LARGE chunk of news value.
As far as unnamed informants ... they are very common ... and VERY reliable ... something that is commonly not understood by the public is that unnamed/anonymous sources are checked out more so than named sources because lawsuits suck in this business and end careers. Im guessing the "unnamed" source is true and that the evidence is true, lets hope the "dancer lady" does not reveal anything new and embarrassing.

Not Interesting Enough News = Vikings Not Winning!

If they win, then they can report a win. If they lose, they report this trash.

That is what it seems like to me. Good luck with the rest of the season.

Taped the report and got a chance to watch it. Bryant McKinnie and Melwelde Moore were the ones that dumped the garbage.

McKinnie said it was garbage from a party, not from the boat crusie!

Melwelde said it was garbage form his house.
There was a boarding pass and a receipt for a drink from McKinnie.

Aparently there was 8 bags of garbage and it could have been from any party not just from the boat cruise.

There was a bag that they thought had a stem from some weed, but from the picture they showed I couldn't tell.

The stripper / porn star said that she was supposed to come but did not make it to the party and did not have anything specific about the boat cruise.

This looked to be more hype than substance and I am sorry I even made this thread about it. Sweeps week KSTP is trying to draw ratings!

Couldn't agree with you more! Since when is it an offense to hire a bunch of strippers/porn stars for a bit of fun? Everyone says that NFL players are role models and should be setting a good example, but have they considered that if the frickin media hadn't have blown it out of proportion, the public won't even have known about it?

Not as much as how ticked off I'll be if this team pulls its roots from Minnesota! Listen up kids, not everyone is a football fan. In fact, MOST people aren't football fans. Give Fred a chance, that was really the only game where he did very poor. Plus, I doubt anybody could cover Smith.

Nobody can cover him one-on-one... Twon has a right to be angry with Cotrell.... Ok guys I know it was only one game but Smoot must have felt he could cover him one on one judging by all the talking he was doing before the game.

Why didn't they put Winfield on Smith in the 2nd half??? I know Smoot has a lot of pride, but the coaches could see he was getting burnt. Maybe Winfield would have also, but I think that's a switch you need to make.

Because then we would've had 2 CB's toasted ala Smith.

Agree! Smith is not the type of guy you can cover one on one.

guys I cant even begin to describe how much this ticks me off. The fact that these grown men are being treated like criminals. They are all old enough to decide if they wanna get wild with some strippers. The thing that gets me is how it dosnt die down, they bring it up over and over again. Its just like the moss and the traffic *beep*. If a bunch of grown men wanna go on a yacht, get lap dances, have oral sex and drink some beer....well correct me if i'm wrong but...THAT SOUNDS LIKE A AWESOME NIGHT IN MY BOOK! thier actin like we just killed someone (see ray lewis)

I would tend to agree with you except that this was in a public setting. They should have held the party in private with only the players and the strippers, NO ONE ELSE PRESENT.

As far as the story dying down, it won't until they start winning. Even then it will continue to pop up...it's such an embarrassment.

You'd think you would burn or shred eveidence of this type - especially when you are a sports celebrity.
