I love Mewelde Moore and would like to know what my fellow fans think of him as a feature back???

10-29-2005, 01:29 AM
Go MM Go... That's what I think. Mewelde starting with Bennett off the bench is a good 1-2.

I tell you what i think of him.... He's a freak'n beast.

I like having Mewelde as our number 1 guy. He is awsome. Let's hope he has a good game in Carolina.

10-29-2005, 01:42 AM
He is still suspect in my book. I see promise with him though.

10-29-2005, 01:43 AM
yo vikes where'd the sig go???

10-29-2005, 01:44 AM
That is what I hope for!!! I just think that he has a ton of heart and is one of the young guys on this squad that can make things happen for years to come. That is where i wanted this post to go. Is he the featured back that will take us to the promised land??

10-29-2005, 01:49 AM
You are in Phoenix??? I live in that neck of the woods though I am in Iraq rigt now. I am live in Queen Creek!!! Where ya at??

10-29-2005, 01:53 AM
forget "I am live in QC" I do live in QC but do have a better vocabulary than that, And do LOVE the VIKES!!

MM starting with Bennett coming of the bench is a great 1-2 punch.

10-29-2005, 01:59 AM
He's not a guy your going to hand it to 25 to 30 times a game and where down the D-fence in the 4th quarter, but thats not our game right now. He catchs the ball well out of the backfield, and uses his blockers well on screen plays(I think this is where he is the most dangerous). He needs to work on his blocking but that is improved from last season. Overall he is a very servicable back.

Right now at the moment poor man's Brian Westbrook.....Love the potential.....

10-29-2005, 02:04 AM
He is a much better runner than Westbrook, he breaks tackles and is harder to bring down.

10-29-2005, 02:21 AM
Maybe so, ( PurpleTide ) just going on value to the team as well as the television guys ( Ron Jaworski ). Talking about he is what makes the offense go for Philly. I think or believe M. Moore will be a better player when all is said and done, but right now Westbrook is the man for his team. Mewelde's still just a guy with potential....Case in point; big play by Koren Robinson last week ( kickoff ) next play Mewelde fumbles. Too many bonehead mistakes, that he will not make later in his career.

As long as he helps move the chains, I say keep him as our starting RB...also that will keep Bennett motivated to do his best when he gets the chance. As I saw it last week live, Mewelde showed much more burst and movement off the ball and going into the line than Bennett did...so MM is still the starter in my book.

Memo is our #1 starter for a few years.

I like his elusiveness and runs.

10-29-2005, 02:42 AM
I'm all about Memo being our current and future starting Running Back. He's a hard worker and has a lot of heart.

10-29-2005, 03:05 AM
MM is a good back. He is very dangerous in the open field. Good pass catching skills and he is quick. He runs hard and holds on to the football, so far. He is proving he is our #1 back, hands down.

10-29-2005, 03:08 AM
Mewelde can become a pro bowl rb imo! i love this dude he is so crazy go nuts he is our rb!

10-29-2005, 03:09 AM
I hope MeMo sticks around for quite a while, I think we're only beginning to see how good he can be. He's had some very good games this year and behind this O-line, that's saying a lot.

10-29-2005, 04:07 AM
I liked Memo from the 1st game he came into. You could tell right away he had the cutting moves & was going to be a feature back.

10-29-2005, 08:25 PM
Um. Well what do I think about him?

10-29-2005, 08:29 PM
MeMo is a good back. I think he is going to be our back for a few years. Personally, I think Whizzy is better but who knows what's going to happen with him. I'm fine with haveing MeMo as our back. I'd like to see how Fason does too.

What can I add?

I'de just like to say, I've enjoyed watching MM, and I think he has a great carrier ahead of him..

He was a good college RB and he his begining to make his mark in the NFL

10-29-2005, 08:38 PM
ive liked the kid since we drafted him. i hope he can stick around for a while.

Memo ha sthe abilty to be the feature back to pound away defense and wear the defnse down. Hes had some great game with a very poor oline thats starting to get shored up. As the oline gets better look for Memo to do better and better. Were he fumbled to me it looked like he took 1 hand to keep him self off the ground and keep going when the guy on the ground knocked it lose.

I never thought of it that way Art, but with the O-Line improving ....

Just imagine what MM can do for us....

Yeah Baby.............

Memo is a great all-purpose back very similar to former Viking great Darrin Nelson. He is also a very smart yound man. While playing football at Tulane he also double majored and graduated in Accounting and Finance. He has a very calm demenor and I look forward to watching him carry and catch the rock for many purple years.

10-30-2005, 01:17 AM
MeMo is kind of like Darrin, but I really see much more.
And Darrin was a heck of back.
Some of his moves remind me of a little piston that used to run in Motown.

I see it, I see it.

10-30-2005, 01:37 AM
True - Memo is much more physical. Nelson was much smaller.

10-30-2005, 02:09 AM
I think that new spread offense will really help MM with his yards gained.

10-30-2005, 03:16 AM
I think MM is great until we pick up a first round runner in next years draft.
