Heard on KFAN it was Marcus Johnson? Just listening with one ear so might have heard wrong. Also heard they might have been fighting each other? Who knows. Maybe Johnson took McKinnies Butterfinger. :cussing:

Well, atleast he didn't get a DWI or report finding weed in the vehicle.

Who in their right mind would want to get into it with him?

I was thinking who would be wanting to get in a fight with Mount? It makes sense that is was another player, not some pencil-neck fan.

How can we get a solid o-line together, if Johnson and Mckinnie are fighting each other? I wonder what Tice will do...

I have a few friends from back in my early days that I had known but were not really friends with until we got into a fight and then became good friends after.

And I know Marcus is a rookie, but the way he has played so far somebody should have kicked his a$$. I think he is going to be a stud for us on the line for years to come, but we need him to get it together quickly!

About time Marcus showed some fight.

Now lets see if we can get him to do it on the field.

McKinnie, Johnson arrested on pair of misdemeanors
Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie was arrested on suspicion of a pair of misdemeanors early Monday morning at a Minneapolis gas station.

McKinnie, 26, was held on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process, according to jail documents. He was freed on $50 bail at 6:38 a.m.

Also arrested was rookie guard Marcus Johnson, 23, on suspicion of the same charges. The Vikings drafted Johnson from Ole Miss at pick No. 49 this year.

A team spokesman reached early Monday said that he had not heard of the incident and had no comment on it. He did not immediately return a telephone call later Monday.

Minneapolis police spokesman Ron Reier said McKinnie and Johnson were arrested after officers were called to clear out a large crowd from Bobby & Steve's Auto World on Washington Avenue near downtown Minneapolis.

Messages left with McKinnie's agent, Ben Dogra, were not immediately returned Monday morning.

A witness told WCCO-AM that McKinnie was offended by a comment by a fellow player and a scuffle resulted.

Jail records indicate Johnson was released 2 minutes after McKinnie.

McKinnie and Johnson were scheduled to appear on court Monday in Minneapolis.

Rumor has it that they were doing a role play for next weeks game. Johnson had a Michael Vick jersey on and was dancing around the parking lot taunting McKinnie. Then they switched, then beat the crap out of each other. :violent1:

"The two were arguing with other men inside Bobby and Steve's Auto World, 1221 Washington Av. S."

1. I don't think they were fighting each other.

2. Don't you love how they give the address like the guy needs more traffic to his store.

3. Hey I say we hang out and get some autographs since we now know this is a Viking hangout.

It could be worse, at least there is no DWI's and none of our players took a crap in some chicks closet...

Apparently $50 each, according to the Strib.

I think we should work out a trade with the Jets....

A decent QB for some decent O-linemen.

;)

The Jets just found out that Pennington and Feely are out (Pennington for the season) and are about to have to start their 3rd string QB. We need some serious O-line help. I'm not serious, it was just a joke but I guess I needed to be a little more explicit. Sorry for the confusion.

P.S. - Ofcourse I was talking about trading Johnson not C-Pep...just for clarification....bad joke....sorry.

it's okay, i was just trying to figure out who our "decent" qb is that we'd send, don't really want to see Pep or Brad out in NYJ land, maybe we could give them Shaun Hill!

I heard on the news that the police may have overreacted by arresting him. Apparently McKinnie and another man from Miami were having an arguement of who was better known in Miami and that Johnson was trying to break up the arguement and the police came and arrested him for a misdermeanor charge. accordiong to PA on kfan.com

yah that is what i heard as well Darrin, i don't think Johnson and McKinnie started a brawl or anything. sounds like Johnson didn't do anything wrong at all. sounds like it was all a huge misunderstanding.

I'd take Pete Kendall for Shaun "who the hell am I?" Hill......

McKinnie getting arrested for this is pure crap, some drunk shoots his mouth off, and than he can't leave since the owner doesn't want him too since "he's a Viking" is crap. $50 bail? Whatever, I'm not worried.

I watched the story on local news and it was crap. Two random witnesses filmed the "incident" and it was a non-incident. The video was kind of hazy and couldn't get very close but they got the entire thing and basically nothing happened other than a large group of people gathering around McKinnie. Noone was threatened and all of a sudden the cops came and just slapped cuffs on McKinnie. Witnesses said that the cops overreacted and saw no reason why they were arrested.
