View Full Version : RB Situation

We need Bennett or Moore to start moving the ball or we need to make a trade for a RB. How about Ricky Williams as a possible option. We all know he is a certified nut but when he is in a football state of mind he is pretty good. I think he would look pretty good in Purple and Gold and he has some power. Just a possiblity but we need something at RB. I miss Onterrio already.

I got a feeling one of our backs is gonna have a big day 2marro...idk why, I just got that feeling....

09-18-2005, 02:36 AM
I doubt it I think Daunte's going to have a good game though.

Maybe we should start Moe. We did last game and his first carry was for 9 yards. The second was for like 4 or 5. He's a hard runner, but he is probably getting to old.

Maybe its not all the RB's fault. Maybe it is the O-Lines fault more?

I would have to say, YES THE O LINE SUCKED LAST WEEK! Fix the Line, fix the rushing stats.

I say we draft Laurence Mauroney!!!!

09-18-2005, 04:33 AM
i would like to see Moore start. based on what i saw last year and in preseason he's really good. as long as he doesnt get injured and if Tice pulls his head out of his ass and realizes that he's got a good back we should be fine

09-18-2005, 04:36 AM
Yah Moore should be our back after a few weeks when Tice gets off the crack binge.. He was a beast.. Looks like he is having injury problems too though

09-18-2005, 04:41 AM
here we go again!!

round 8 ding-ding

09-18-2005, 04:42 AM
NO NO NO.. No arguing.. We all agree we need to find a back.. Whoever it is im sure we all don't care as long as they get the job done.. Draft Maroney tho

09-18-2005, 04:42 AM
Just what we need another Onterio Spleef! I think Moore will get more and more touches if Bennet doesn't do something!

09-18-2005, 06:23 AM
Split time with Moore and Fason IMO.

09-18-2005, 06:26 AM
I don't care WHO we start, as long as we DON'T TRADE FOR RICKY WILLIAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enough of Ricky Williams already...

09-18-2005, 06:32 AM
Why not give Fason a chance...?

09-18-2005, 06:39 AM
Year Team G GS Att Yards Avg Lg TD 20+ FD
2001 New Orleans Saints 16 16 313 1245 4.0 46 6 2 58
2002 Miami Dolphins 16 16 383 1853 4.8 63 16 7 89
2003 Miami Dolphins 16 16 392 1372 3.5 45 9 6 68

This is my first post on Ricky Williams and ALL I have to say is, those stats are tempting. Plus, he hasn't missed a game in three seasons (exept to travel the backwoods with a bong last year).

Daunte could use a guy like that in the backfield.

09-18-2005, 06:40 AM
shaun alexander? Willie Parker from the steelers? Larry Johnson from the chiefs?

09-18-2005, 06:45 AM
How about Maurice Clarett..

on second thought...

09-18-2005, 07:13 AM
Guys, Guys,...put down the pipe, especially you Vikesforlife. Now Ricky Williams isn't going to do CRAP behind our line in the current state. Tice needs to switch something around here!

09-18-2005, 07:15 AM
Fason's achilles heel is his inability to pass block. Otherwise I'd bet we'd have seen him by now. I sure hope that can be taught cause I really like him. He hit's the line hard & fast & doesn't go down on the 1st hit easily.

09-18-2005, 11:47 AM
I think if you count the offseason, this is round 1, 226. And we should have this doubled in two weeks at the rate its going.

09-18-2005, 02:25 PM
Larry Johnson would be great but the Chiefs will want too much for him because Priest is gettin old. Willie Parker had a good game but can he be consistent??? Shaun Alexander has been pretty good over the years but he may be losing a step. The best RB we have is MOORE but he has the injury bugg.

Jim Brown couldn't have run behind our pathetic O-Line!!

Jim Brown didn't need a good line.

09-18-2005, 03:26 PM
yeha ricky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we should get him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Purple
09-18-2005, 03:37 PM
Well the thing is...Rickey would be good behind our line BECUASE...our line as of right now sucks, we need a work horse who is used to pounding the ball for those touff yards. Not a track superstar turned RB.
