Cowboys, I will always hate the Cowboys. Why don't we play them during thanksgiving anymore, that made thanksgiving so much better! Eagles are a close second, they have talent but they bought there way to the veterans. ie Kearse, Owens

The Swaggering Menace, the Dallas Cowboys.

There's nothing quite like this team. I'll admit I loved them as a little kiddie with their bringing back the shotgun, and and their O-line doing that stand-up routine whenever the backfield was in motion, it looked very cool to a pre-teen. The 'Doomsday Defense'--great stuff. Besides, you kinda had to have another team in those days as a Packer Fan, after all the Pack only played half a season. :-/

Then Roger the Dodger retired and the magic was gone.

Can you believe the arrogance of these guys? Did you know that from '93 to '96 the Pack played the 'Boys every single year and without exception they were in Dallas? What kind of idiot writes a schedule like that? Then of course everytime the Pack made the playoffs they had to go to Dallas, that made for seven consecutive Packer games every which one was in Hell--or whatever they're calling Texas these days.

Then, of course, the league changes it so nothing like that can never happen again, but they never think to even it out a little and give the Pack four consecutive homes games against the Cowboys, say in like December. We got just one, in 1997, and it was like September, that hardly counts.

That was a great game though, I still have that one on tape; back then I taped all the Packer games for posterity. It went into the 4th quarter fairly close, then the Pack opened up a can of whoop-ass and humiliated them 45-17. I got so many free drinks in such a short period of time (free drinks for Packer TDs some places) I couldn't drink them all.

I'll have to go with the Cowboys. Part of it is the residual disgust from the Walker trade. Part of it is that they (and Detroit) get an unfair advantage each year by getting the Thanksgiving home game. Their opponent is coming off a short week, has to travel, and doesn't have the time to recover and prepare for the game. (Note: if the NFL gives the two traveling teams for this week a bye the week before, this problem will go away. It's a simple solution, but I don't think it will ever happen.)

But after all is considered, it comes down to the fact that they're just annoying.

That's a good point, I'd not considered that. Someone was asking me why the Lions always play better on Turkey Day than they have any right to, and I was stuck for any answer besides "They just DO! Look it up!"

Dunno 'bout the Vikes but the Packers always seem to stub their toe in Detroit on Thanksgiving. As a matter of fact, it was the '62 game when the undefeated Pack was tied by the underdog Lions that gave birth to the "Any Given Sunday..." line. Ironic considering it was about a game played on Thursday.

gotta go with the team that has a jail in their stadium . . . the Eagles . . . at least the Vet had one, does the new stadium have one too? don't know, though I wouldn't be surprised. God forbid there's a shortage of cheese steaks in Philly, they'd probably need one. Bunch of animals!
