CHEER UP!!! So your team lost to the Bucs (just as I predicted)...BIG DEAL! At least your team lost to a semi-decent team. My boys lost to the freakin' LIONS!!!!

Not only did the Packers lose, they scored just one FG...no TDs. At least the Vikings KNOW how to score!!!! Javon Walker had to get carted away..."Ferggie" left the game for a while due to injury. Our freakin' defense was HORRIBLE as was expected!!!! (kudos to Darren Sharper...88 yd int- TD return!!! That's my boy!). Why hasn't Mike Sherman cut "sticky fingers" Amad Carroll? He's messing up just about everything for our team. He had like 4 or 5 penalties called on him by like the second quarter.
And where did our O-line go? Last seconds of the game (Favre trying to make a comeback), and they allow the guy to get sacked TWICE!!!!

I don't know who played worse. Vikings or Packers.

bono
09-12-2005, 01:37 AM
uh, PACKERS!!!! The Packers, however, WHERE considered the underdogs (by 3), as opposed to the Vikings. So, the Vikings' lost would be considered by the NFL world as an upset...not the Packers (although it is to us Packer Backers).

Quite frankly, I'm more surprised by our home loss to the Bucs than the packs' road loss to the Lions.

Heads up Vikings fans consider this an adjustment game for both the Pack and the Vikings. 15 games left and I find it hard that both teams will play like they both did earlier today.

i heard somewhere that this is the first time favre has lost to the Lions? is that true, if that's the truth then i think both both were very suprising loses for each teams.

What is interesting is that the stats for the offense and the QB's for the Pack and the Vikes are almost identical. Our O didn't score a touchdown either bono. :???:

At least you have a good head coach, and at least your team didn't trade Brett Favre.

When do I call you out?!?!?!? Almost every time you start another ridiculous thread, that's when.

Oh, I see, now you're in "Contrite" mode...your boys got humiliated by the Lions, so NOW you want to weasel in to our good graces again. You probably figure that since we lost, if you say nice things about us we'll fall for it.

Nope...nice try, Sport, ain't happening.

As predicted, however, you ditched the thread that you got hammered in (Any room to hate Aikman) and started a new one.

As far as your comments here go, I'm not buying it. We got beat, YOU got humiliated. Deal with it. Our loss had bright spots, yours simply showed what you can expect a LOT MORE of.

And, on a final note, I see you're still waffling all over your Packers. "I love 'em, we suck, I love 'em, we suck", you're like Ross Perrot trying to decide if he's running for President, or John Kerry on every issue ever put before him. Waffle, waffle, waffle.

Pick a side of the fence and stay on it. At least trolls like "IChokeMyChickentoMichealJacksonRecords" stay consistent. I can at elast find SOMETHING to respect in them. You...you just flip flop from one side to the other.

caine,
fyi it's not that i've been trying to avoid reading/responding to the "Aikman" thread...after that one night when I posted it, I moved on. Didn't really check to see other people's responses. So, therefore, I have no clue as to what it was you replyed with. And as far as me trying to get into the good graces of you Viking Lovers...DON'T THINK SO!!! Approx. how long have you been in here? Those who really know me, know that I'm as real as it gets! I don't hate. I give respect/props where and when it's due. Were you around during my boys' loss to the vikings in the playoffs last season? I could have sworn I came in here (probably the first packer backer to) and (with a swollen heart) congratulated the Vikings. They played good ball. There was no denying it. What would you prefer me to do, come in here...look like a complete idiot exclaiming how the Vikings lost to the Bucs, when I know my team stands in need of vast improvement? Come on, I love my Packers, but I'm not blind (and I hope you're not) to flaws and areas of dyer improvement.

Are you trying to argue using logic?!?!?! AMAZING!!! Now I've seen it all.

What tickles me most is your own admission: "after that one night when I posted it, I moved on. Didn't really check to see other people's responses.". That makes you a bonafied ***drum roll*** TROLL!!!

Sure, I saw in you in here after the Play-Off beating (You were the second Packer Backer in here btw...I think Barfly beat you in). And, yeah, you ate some crow. But here's where you lost all of my (grudgingly given) respect:

1: During several statistical arguements in the late season and early post season, you posted drivel, started getting beat on, then split...only to fire up another ridiculous thread on another moronic topic.

2: During pre-season this year, you made posts asking to "jump on the Viking bandwagon", and telling us (as if we didn't know) how bad your team was going to stink.

THEN, you kick off the "My guys rock" BS because Aikman took your side in ONE preseason analysis (And Aikman does put the "anal" in analysis).

So, you're a waffler...and a troll. Not a real good combination.

Here's a tip, if you start a fire, stick around to see it through. You might get hammered, but you might just gain some respect. If you're going to talk the talk, walk the walk. Don't just talk and walk away.

Until you develop some follow through on the caca you shovel, I'm not buying any of it.

Purplepeople,
one of the top editors here at my job (milwaukee journal sentinel) got a call from a credable (sp) source informing that Javon Walker might be out for the rest of the season. I think he messed up his leg or something like that.
And for you Caine:
it's not ALWAYS that I post something and fail to check up on it for replys...this time, I jprobably was busy, working on the special Packer section (which i mention a few days ago...it's in today's paper ), and well as the beginning of college football season (had to put together statistcal game summary boxes for mostly all Wisconsin colllege football teams, Big Ten conference and Top 25)...not to mention all this other stuff. I've been pretty tired...lazy to extracurricular activity. Not to mention that the U.S. Open was going down (dang on it! none of the Williams made it, nor did my number one stunner, Lindsay Davenport...Andrea Agassi, thanks for the memories, man!)...I'm a pretty big fan of that stuff!
And yeah, I remember when I posted something about "jumping on the Vikings' bandwagon." I do recall ALSO stating that I was just kidding around, for it was ONLY PRE-SEASON!!! I do recall also saying that I saw nothing wrong with befriending (not in those exact words) viking lovers -expecially during off-season...it was the regular season that I would get into my overdose of "Viking-Haterism."
Furthermore, what's wrong with giving a few props to the Vikings when they deserve it? There have been times when some elite Viking Lovers in here have done the same in regards to my Packers. What do you think about them?
Moreover, I do not appreciate you calling me some freakin' troll. Do I look like one? Do I smell like one? Is my favorite color purple? NO!!!
If you don't want me posting/conversing with you all in here, fine, I'll freakin' pack up my things and head SOUTH for winter!

If it was one thread, I'd write it off as a fluke...but it's a consistant thing with you. Just about the time I igure you're becomming more like Los (Whom we all respect in a mutually antagonistic way), you turn around and post some drivel thread...supported by no more than your opinion or that of the guy you met a the local bar who hasn't moved off his stool in 25 years.

Let me qualify this for you, just so you're ABSOLUTELY certain that you uderstand what I'm saying, "You specialize in posting DRIVEL". Was that clear enough for you? You post inflamatory topics of an inflamatory nature and fail to back up or support your posts beyond the first 15 minutes (This post being an exception...likely because you thought we'd all tell you how BIG you are for "being honest"). Those criteria, sport, are what define a TROLL.

Don't like the title? Don't act like one. I don't know - nor do I care - what you look and/or smell like. It isn't about appearance (that would be prejudicial). It's all about what you DO. And you, as much as it may pain you to hear, act like a ***drum roll*** TROLL.

Now, I'm not advocating your departure. I don't scream for Webby to ban you. I figure that I can handle you (In fact, had you bothered to read any of the threads you'd started and abandoned, you'd know that yourself). I don't play that way. If I dish, I have to take - it's part of the rules.

YOU, however, dish and run. Then, when your team gets hammered, you come crawling back, trying to be "the bigger man" by posting some conciliatory (See definition --->HERE (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=conciliatory)<--- ) tripe about how your team sucks and so on and so forth.

We KNOW your team sucks. We've been telling you that for YEARS. Todays Green Bay-Detroit game came as no suprise to any of us who followed the offseason (Although, Harrington stunk, and I was suprised at how bad your "O" did). We don't need YOU to tell us that. Especially since we all know that just as soon as you think there's a light on the horizon, you'll be back posting tripe.

But, I digress. I could take the time to start linking post after post to prove my point...I really could. But I'm not sure you're worth the effort. you see, I think I have you figured out...and I'm not buying what you're selling.

So if this your excuse? Face it, the packers are going downhill fast. You couldn't run yesterday, Favre looked pretty bad, he got hit a lot and now Javon Walker "your best" WR is gone for the year! We lost to a sh!tty team at home, but we had our chances, the pack was never really in their game. Sorry bono, but the pack will be underdogs a lot this year!

You know, the whole thing about Bono is he is no worse than some Vikings fans around here about starting up a thread and not finishing it.

He has always been pretty straight to the point, and I put him in leagues with LosAngelis, etc. He rips on the pack, gets high on the pack. Pretty much like most fans around here feel about the Vikes. Up and down with the team. He provides some fun ripping ocassionally, but also has balls to say we rule when we do. You'd never see a real troll like ChokeJob ever say anything bad about the pack.

I for one am a little concerned that this whole Troll Brigade mentality is being reactionary, and thus taking away the chance to have good discussions with folks from other teams. A guy is not a troll for being a fan of another team. Bono started out a little trollish, but for most of the last year has been decent enough; not like I'm his biggest fan though. Remember the cheap ass hillbilly action?

I like fans from other teams on here that are honest, but fun enough to provide some ripping here and there. :) I like reading the other side's opinion at times...for knowing thy enemy is the key to victory.

Food for thought.

I am glad that you said this cause it is easy for people to start ragging on the good Packer fans, especially when we had a bad game in the dome.

It is easy to incite a riot, we are awfully cantankerous after a loss.

Since the C A H days are gone, BONO was a stand up guy, he shouldn't have to pucker up to our Viking butts all the time. SHIhiTe, it is impossible for us Vike fans to please each other.
