I apologize for putting up another "should we sign post?" for those who get sick of seeing these...

but I was surprised to see Quentin Griffin cut by Denver... maybe a little small and potential durability questions.. but still the vikes only have four RBs on the roster right now and they all have potential issues...

Interested to hear other thoughts on this?

he did well for a few games and then was injured and stunk it up. it might be an attitude issue???? I don't know but he isn't going to add anything to our team that we don't already have.

Actually I heard he has one of the best attitudes in the league.. When he scored in his first game he just slowly walked up to the ref and handed him the ball.. He is just a nice quiet guy.. From what i've heard atleast.. They probably cut him because he was costing too much to be a back up.. And they can pretty much put in whoever and they can get 1000 yards.. I would seriously give this guy a look!

In all reality, they did cut alot of our RB depth yesterday. I'm wondering what they do have planned. I'd think they would have to pick someone up soon.

One question, is he injury prone at all??? We have enough RB's who are good when not injured....

I think we must be planning to pick up one more RB somewhere after the cuts.

Stats and commentary from Fanball.com.... They sure aren't high on him.. I didn't realize how many fumble problems he had last year as well... 3.7 yds per carry is nothing to brag about with denver's run scheme... having doubts here, but we gotta get someone else for depth... stupid smith and his whizzinator!

Recap2004 Season: Griffin's reign as the Broncos' feature back was not only cut short by a torn ACL in week seven, but also by poor performance and a case of the dropsies. Three touchdowns in the season opener were quickly erased by fumbles in weeks one, two, and three.

His GameAfter initially defying skeptics that called him little more than a scatback, Griffin eventually confirmed the consensus in failing to last as the Broncos' starting tailback. Last year's propensity for fumbling and injury concerns won't help his cause going forward.

yah but the only one who has shown he's pretty durable is Williams, the other 3 running backs had injuries. Bennet, when isn't he injuried? Fason had a sprained knee and didn't look very impressive. Moore was out 2 preseason games with an injury.

I agree Angry.. We might as well bring him in and see what he can.. Wouldn't bother me at all.. I don't think we will though
