OK, all this talk of Ogunleye VS Smith/Udeze or switching to a 3-4.

Well, here is another option, Seattle just released Hand. Large man, quality run stuffer. Put him on the nose with Hovan and Williams on the ends and run 3-4.

Personally, I still prefer a 4-3, but that will be tough this year thanks to Mixon and our draft position.

opinions please...with the exception of jmiller (keep your pie hole closed young man).[:D]

I dont know if Hovan would do to good if he was on the ends

Personally I have never heard of him before. I'm still hoping that we wait until we see who we can get in the draft before we pick up any more free agents though. Thats just me. If he can help the team though thats cool.

Steve Martin can do that already. Norman Hand is a big fat older player with a history of poor workout habits. We don't need him.

we can get a quality run stuffing tackle in the second or third round. hand is past the time when he should have retired

Hand is past his prime, plain and simple

Hand is fat, slow, and most likely ridiculously overpriced for his talent. I think we already have a better big, fat run-stuffing DT in Steve Martin, and certainly two all-around better DT's in Hovan and Williams. Also, if the coaching staff feels that they need another big DT, I'd much rather get a young player in the draft, then overpay for big, fat Norman Hand.
