A team can't rely on special teams to get them through a season and to the bowl. Their offense didn't show to many signs of great improvement, but hey, it's only pre-season.

So your saying Pitt was 15-1 last year because of their offense? think again.

They need some improvement if they intend to win the bowl and if you think they can win it by playing the same way they did last year... think again.

It is a nice looking poll and it is nice to think that others think like us but we have to play the games, all 16 of them to determine if we go to the playoffs and where we will be.

Looking impressive doesn't guarantee anything. We have looked impressive before, plenty!

But once again, the poll looks nice.

I think we have done better as underdogs in the past, I don't want to stand out until we deserve the praise. It just means teams will be gunning for us. No team can be taken lightly no matter how IMPRESSIVE we look.

It is going to depend on Rothlesburger, he was not as effective in the late part of the season and if he has a sophomore jinx this year could spell trouble for Pitt.

No, it's not all about offense or defense or special teams. All I'm saying is that I don't think we should worry on one preseason game for an opponent that we play our 15th game against. I'm not sold on Big Ben yet, I guess we'll see how he does this year.
