EJ started at Will LB today over DT. Tice said he wants the best 3 LBs on the field. EJ has never played will before either.

What do all y'all think?

I suggested this about 2 months ago. I know a lot of other people were saying it as well.

I really like the move, you don't take our teams leading tackler off the field. He should do fine at Will.

Tice better be careful I am starting to like his thinking. I will be sad if I can't bitch about him anymore.

That would be a great move. He has great vision and could ring us up alot of tackles.

yea, i like this move as well, i heard that EJ was gonna be fightin for the starting job over cowart! so im assuming he must be doing really really well in the offseason, but i also heard that DT was finally gettin comfortorable, and was startin to do alot better aswell... i think tice might just be doin it to light a fire under DT, at the start of the season, i still think DT will be starting..

Yeah. Tice knows that after this season it's gonna be hard for Cowart to keep his spot. DT and E.J. will get some plays this year and next year the LB corps will look like this:

WLB: D-Train
MLB: E.J.
SLB: Napo

Not a bad LB core this year or next year.

I am cool with EJ starting in place of DT but I thought DT was getting better and was understanding plays more... oh well..

I also like the idea of EJ at Will, but the only problem I see is getting him enough experience at Mike to take over there next year. After all, Cowart's only signed for 1 year, isn't he?

That is awsome. I was kind of mad when I found out E.J. wouldnt start. I mean he led our team in tackles last year. Now I am happy that he will be starting again. I think its a great move.
